"About the New Tampa Players

The New Tampa Players was formed by a group of talented and experienced people to establish a community theatre group in the New Tampa area. The New Tampa Players' focus is to provide its members the opportunity to participate in the exciting process of bringing the best in dramatic and musical productions to the stage. With years of experience behind them, The New Tampa Players offer their audiences the words and emotions of the great plays, the songs and exuberance of the great musicals and the opportunity to step through the Theatre Curtain to become a part of the creation process whether its in the spotlight or behind it."

Pssst, if I were in Tampa I'd call and see if they needed any volunteers or ushers to help out with the event. I've seen a lot of events that way, it's worth asking if the drive is worth it for you.

I agree...she is completely gorgeous! I'm a little jealous that I couldn't hear her sing all those amazing songs! Hopefully she'll sing some good ones at her Birdland:)

She also (along with the other performers) sang backup from backstage when William Michals sang "Trouble," annnd she and Rita Harvey came out and danced with (older male) members of the audience while Darius De Haas was singing a Stevie Wonder song. THAT was hilarious...and looked completely spontaneous. We could see from their shadows that they were dancing backstage, then the curtains parted and Steph and RH scurried out, kinda hunched over, and started dancing at the front of the room, ultimately moving out into the audience and dancing with audience members. When he was winding up, RH ducked down and scurried backstage, but Steph was across the room and crouched next to a table until he finished, then did her own little crouch-and-scurry, presumably so as not to distract the audience from his big finish. Talented, funny, gracious--and, yes, if you don't think she's GORGEOUS you haven't seen her in person!

The fact that her next reading is IN New York, but FOR the California Conservatory for the Arts is killing me... that is just so wrong! ha ha
