Ok, so I might be making a trip to the city on the 6th or 7th of December, and I was wondering what ONE show people would recommend I see. Keep in mind I would be going to TKTS (or Student Rush). Shows that are on that I have already seen are Equus and Spamalot, and I already have tickets to Billy Elliot. Things I am interested in seeing are American Buffalo, Young Frankenstein, Boeing-Boeing, maybe Shrek...but I don't know, and I am definitely open to suggestions outside of these. Thanks!
Of the ones you're interested in, I would say Shrek. :) I found it totally charming.
I would recommend Boeing-Boeing and Speed-the-Plow.
I'm a fan of shows with dashes in the title.
Boeing-Boeing.

My Top 5 Choices:
(in no particular order)
AMERICAN BUFFALO (Mamet's masterwork performed with such grace by stars Leguizamo, the Entertainer and Osment - Strictly limited engagement!)
BOEING-BOEING (Non-Stop Hilarity - Mark Rylance is GOLD!)
IN THE HEIGHTS ('08 TONY Winner for BEST MUSICAL)
SPEED-THE-PLOW (Solid all the way around - GREAT chemistry!)
SHREK (Though I have yet to see it, it's getting super-great reviews on here and elsewhere!)

thank you all for your suggestions so far! they are greatly appreciated
Of the ones mentioned on your list Id say go See Speed the Plow. The writing is phenominal and esparza steals the show. I do however say if your willing to see something not on your list go see Gypsy. It was for me the greatest performances I will ever see on broadway. All 3 starts give definitive turns in iconic roles.

I am definitely willing to see something not on my list, and I have heard nothing but great things for Gypsy. I know nothing about the show personally, what is it about?
Definitely GYPSY !!!! One of the greatest, old-fashioned Broadway classics, with a legendary performance by Patti and 3 TONY awards for acting !!! You'll be really sorry if you miss it, trust me, it's mindblowing !!!
I don't know if you are a fan, but maybe think about LIZA'S AT THE PALACE. If I had one thing to see on the days you are there, that would be it! In fact, if I hadn't just bought a Wii yesterday, I would probably be buying tickets for a trip up there to see her!
GYPSY is an excellent suggestion too...for all the reasons given.
