I noticed that the first four front rows of the mezzanine, house left, there are some seats that are curiously never available throughout the run (AA to D 11, 13, 15) and they start selling tickets at seat 17 and leftward at a slightly lowered price. This is not the case with house right, mezzanine, as most of the seats there are available usually later in the run.
I decided to get A 17 a couple days ago (because house right front mezz is mostly sold out for this month), and was wondering if I would miss much in terms of the stairs/platforms. I obviously don't want to be obstructed from seeing Glenn and her moments with the stairs etc, but I'm not sure if the box office would know about such specific details. If anyone has sat in that section (far left, front mezz) and could let me know the degree of obstruction, that would be great. I could do extreme house right mezzanine, if that's better. Thank you so much!

I can't speak about mezzanine n obstruction or which seat is better since . I was in orchestra but I can see why people will complain about far left. Most of action happens on left side stairs. I would choose right side.

Hi.
I saw the first preview and A17 is going to put you at the very edge of where the view of the stairs are for Glenn. It would be much better house right if you could have got that seat instead.

I have read the concerns about seating in the far orchestra left. I originally had seats on far left orchestra seats 3 and 5 row J. Called ticketmaster and they advised me there were few seats available for my priced ticket for the February 17th performance. After much deliberation, they allowed me to move my seats 4 rows back to far left isle 1,3 row M. Will my exchange of the tickets to row M on the isle give me a better view and prevent block out by the speakers and staircase as mentioned. Or are these still partially obstructed seats which are not revealed either by the show or acknowledged by ticketmaster. In this case, what should I do?

From the views you sent you are looking at audience from the stage and not visa-versa. Being on the far left aisle at row M seats 1,3, are you partially blocked from seeing the staircase and other scenes by the large speakers or the staircase itself?

chewbaca, you picked up the tickets I had for the very same date after I switched to the mezzanine. Someone in the main Sunset Blvd thread said the view was not good from K1.

Trying to figure out this obstruction on the house left side. I have seats on the front row in the balcony on the house left side with a group (A 11-21). What should I expect with regards to the view from these seats?

I would suggest calling the box office directly to ask about seating questions. I have tickets for Orch Row M, seats 2 & 4. The lady that I spoke with last week when I called was very nice. Here's the number...

nealb1, I have the same seats, what did the box office say about them, are they full view? It did not say otherwise when I bought them but that was before the set was staged.

I was at N 4 and it was great, it looked like a better view than M 4 cuz it's a bit further back and the leg room is just fantastic.

I called the box office, giving them my new exchanged seats M1,3 that several posts have suggested are partially obstructed. The nice box office person told me they were not "too bad". When I pressed him weather I would miss much of the action he replied that most takes place center stage. Not much that I could do other than move back a few rows and be on the aisle for a better prospective. They are pretty well sold on friday feb 17 so if I switched I would have to go way back in the orchestra (no way) or much further back in mezzanine. Anybody sit in orchestra row M 1,3 with any feedback regarding sight lines and block out??

If it makes anyone feel better I was in a premium orchestra seat and during the finale phone call Glenn is seated on the balcony and her face was obscured by the balcony bars and rails. People in the mezz had it better than us.

Luv2goToShows, the lady that I spoke to said those seats......M 2 & 4 were just fine. She did say there's a big speaker, but being further back, won't have any obstruction.
Perhaps someone could take a pic of the stage so we can see the large speakers on the sides and post them here.

Just to be safe, I've decided to go with center mezz, row K -- I know it's towards the back, but I hope I won't miss much, and can't complain with $69 + fees.

Sat in mezz row M center aisle the other night. Great view of stage. The top of proscenium fully visible... Glenn's very first entrance missed for a few seconds due to height of stairs (above proscenium top) but that's really about it, save for not seeing Joe come out of orchestra pit "pool" top of second act (blocked by mezz) greats seats with full for $69-$79.

Did some research and I would not recommend sitting in the first row of the mezzanine or the balcony at this theater. There's a rail across the front of both sections that may obstruct your view. There's even a notification about it on Ticketmaster when you select to purchase tickets in those rows. I opted for center orchestra Row K instead.

I don't think I've ever heard of a production having more obstructed seats than this one. Good lord..

LxGstv, thanks for posting the photo. Yes, those are my seats - on the right where the guy has his arm out.

Hello!
My seat is Center Orchestra Row T, Seat 110.
Will I get to see the staircase scenes?
Thank you!
