re: Susan Boyle Sings 'I Dreamed A Dream'

Can you really be serious? This may be "unremarkable" to you, and I don't have any problems with that. But how in the world could you possibly compare Susan Boyle to the ridiculous Octomom? Nadia is an attention whore who purposely impregnated herself and purposely kept all 8 children to crawl into her shriveled slimmer of limelight. You may not enjoy Susan for whatever reason, but at least she has talent and didn't intentionally do it to herself. These to ARE completely unrelated, and I am totally baffled how one could even think of such a horrible comparison.

And LadyoftheLake, that really was beautifully stated!
"He found something that he wanted, had always wanted and always would want— not to be admired, as he had feared; not to be loved, as he had made himself believe; but to be necessary to people, to be indispensable." -F. Scott Fitzgerald's This Side of Paradise

Mac. would be smart to put her in "Les Miserables" for the hype and attention and $$$ she could bring to the show...not to mention fulfilling her own dream!!!!!!

In any other situation (or had she sang any other song) she would probably only be considered for Madame T. but since she sang "I Dreamed a Dream" I think that everyone would let her be Fantine and Enjoy it!

Personally, I would put her in a Grizablla if they ever do a revival of "CATS"!

Also, I am glad to see that Patti LuPone called her since she originated the song that made Boyle famous (at least for 15 minutes!)

I can't see Cameron putting her in as Fantine. He wasn't initially thrilled with Jodie Prenger for Nancy because of her weight. I can't imagine what he'd say (privately) about Susan. He does love money though so I could see him putting her in as Madame Thénardier or possibly Widow Corney or Mrs. Bedwin in Oliver!.
