Wow!
Thanks for the heads-up. I've been wanting to see the show for awhile.
So much for my small savings... I've now got a ticket for that performance and plan on being at this signing.

I don't need my CD autographed, but would sure love to walk by and see Sondheim!

I'm mad its a school night and I would be unable to attend but I already saw him earlier at Sweeneys first preview and stared at him a good 10 seconds. I'll settle with that then coming off as some crazed dseperate fan trying to explain appreciation to him at a cd signing where I'm sure things will be crazy during anyway
Pffft, school night...sleep is overrated!
I wouldn't be able to get there until like 9:45 at the earliest, would I still have a chance of getting my cd autographed or will the lines be crazy long?

It probably won't be that long a wait. It's kids night on broadway, so I'd assume all the shows will be filled with kids, including Sweeney and then the kids will go home because its a school night.

It probably will cost like $20.00 retail price at the theatre.
Ack! Missed it by a week! Was there this Tuesday and saw Chita and Dick VanDyke - but that was over early enough that I could have seen Sondheim as well!
Of course, I'd probably turn into a blithering idiot, anyway....

No, it's happening next Tuesday, the 31st, you Silly Billy.

Sluggy is talking as if it were a week earlier before the 31st, how it would have fit in perfectly

Man. I would love to go to this. But I have rehearsal! Argh!
Yes, "C", that's exactly what I meant! I won't make it back there next week!
I can easily go to the signing, its just deciding what time should to the theatre? If I plan on just going to the signing then what do you think the line is going to be like outside? If I were to get there by like 9-9:30pm I should be fine? Thanks!!
OMG!
OMG!
what smartpenguin said, and whoever's buying a plane ticket stat, holla! Once in a lifetime experience. Has anyone heard of such a thing? Cast staying late? Renowned author/force of nature participating?
Fantastic!
I want details from everyone who attends!
Can somebody Live Blog this?
:)
OY!
I'm with RentBoy86. Any kind person feel like helping the Southerners out?

that's the thing... i want to go but i don't think i'd be able to hold myself together... what should i do, guys?

The only way I can go is if I lie to my parents about going to a school event, and hopping on the train to NYC, and someone willing to come back with me (because I hate walking alone in the dark).
Screw lying to your parents about a school event - Stephen Sondheim is going to be there!!! Tell them the truth. That'll carry more weight than any school event any day, and they may even take you there personally. (and while you're there, get one signed for me. I'll pay real money - as opposed to that counterfeit stuff I usually use.)

I'm jealous of you all. I'd bring my OBC Of Company too.

The list price on amazon.com is $21.98.
Incidentally, the CDs definitely will be available at the theatre for those who doubt that they will. But I have a question, do theatre merchandise stands take credit?

however much it costs, I gurantee it's worth it... 92 pages of essays and photos! I'm still reading all of it :)
