I'm surprised they would do this on a night when they have a matinee to be up early for the next day.

"And what do you mean get up early?.... they can sleep in til at least 11."
I'm going to pretend this is a joke.
3 hours to wake up, get cleaned up, get to the theatre, warm up (which probably takes at least twice as long in Sweeney's case because they need to warm up bodies, voices and instruments) get make-up, get dresses, do pre-show ritual (every performer has one) and start performance.
That takes much longer than 3 hours.

Well I dono what the call time for Sweeney is, but for Chitty and Sweet Chairty it was and Spamalot it's an hour and 15 minutes before the show so I'm assuming its the same for every other show. So an hour and fourty-five minutes is plenty of time to get ready and get to the theatre.

You know what? I just looked on Tower Records' web site and they show the list price as $25.99, but many other web sites have the list price as $21.98.

It's been out on Itunes since the 24th, but the physical cd still hasn't been released (though I'm told it's already for sale in the theater).
You don't need to have tickets to go to the cd signing, but I have no idea how it's going to work. I would imagine there would be a line, or something, outside. They have to set up inside after the show, too, so do the people who attended the play have to wait outside as well? You'd think they would give priority to them over the people who just show up...
Equity call is always half hour unless there is a special circumstance (ie. They are putting someone into the show, the director is in town and wants to give notes.)
Also, Jacobtsf, alot of performers really don't get up till 11:30 or so, even for a matinee (admittedly, later than that is cutting it close). But it is totally viable that at 11:30 a performer wakes up, showers, brushes teeth, etc and is out the door by 12 or 12:15, and even if they don't live in Manhattan, give it 45 minutes to an hour (less than that probably, but for arguments sake) and you'd be at the theatre by 1:15, and that is 15 minutes before half hour, which is plenty of time to put on a costume, do 5 minutes of vocal warmups, and makeup.
Disclaimer: Some performers like more time, but I'm just saying its not totally impossible that they ARE able to sleep till 11 or so.
