Again...

It's like a huge soap opera...

Davis gets fired - but the cast swears they don't know why - even though we, the viewers, know why.

A show was supposed to close - but now it isn't. Furthermore, it's staring the girl who hurt herself.

Idina hurts herself the night before her last show. And a day more than a month later, Stephanie gets hurt as she opens in the same role.

Wildhorn keeps getting shows produced.

Lots. This is wonderrful news. Glad all those folks are keeping employed. Now lets keep the positive energy and vibes going towards this production. We all want a hit. It would be great for the actors, the city, and the theater world.

Same here, Craig. This is an extremely talented group of artists and all of them are very dedicated to this production. They have put their sweat and tears into it. They will atleast have a chance at NY, even if it doesn't work out.

Ok, the Weisslers are absolutely brilliant. Way to get more buzz going about the show. I'd like to think it wasn't as deliberate as that, but you never know.

Seriously, who needs tv when you have bway drama abuzz. Ok, who needs tv anyway...

Saying that, I am really happy for Christina (and cast and crew) as well. I really wasn't that familiar with her work before this (and actually am still not that familiar with her work), but I admired the way she handled the situation and really committed herself to this. As someone said, she's got pluck.

It couldn't get better if you made this stuff up. Seriously.

First order of business--

Can they get some new artwork?

This kind of flower power 60s stuff was ugly then, and it is not really attractive now.

Telecharge as of 4:30 EST still says they have "no official word," which won't come until the weekend, and they can't take any action till then. Interesting, huh? I called because I'd already reserved a ticket for Spelling Bee that same night. I was assured that I would get a refund for one or the other of the two tickets. Though I was really excited about seeing Spelling Bee, I guess my first choice would still be Sweet Charity, providing it's with Christina. It sounded like I wouldn't have the option of sticking with Spelling Bee anyway. It's been an amazing story and even though Sweet Charity sounds a bit too much like a regional revival of the show (which happens all the time), after all that's been written about it, and because I think Miss Applegate will be absolutely winning in the role, I guess I'm glad about this turn of events. (Which is still not official.)

They might need 24 hours or so to get their systems ramped up. I know when it was "off" - telecharge didn't have that info the moment it was released...
