Charlotte will still be the standby once the show opens. I'm assuming Dylis Croman will remain the understudy.

Charlotte's husband was quoted in the Boston paper saying that she was a little suspect of what has been going on. I wonder how she feels now.
I'm happy for the cast and crew.

I think I may have mentioned this before but I used to work in a coffee shop while I was in school and Christina came in to buy a drink and she was sooo down to earth and normal, not overly made up or trying to draw attention...I had to do a double take because her energy was so unlike what you might expect a star to have (in a good way). It wasn't until I rang up her drink and got a look at the credit card that I was absolutely sure it was her...THAT'S how unpretentious and unbeleiveably sweet she was! I was a fan from that moment on... I'm so happy for her!

Was Charlotte the standby before the whole foot thing happened? Does anyone know?

Charlotte was hired as a standby before the foot incident.

Standbies usually do not travel with a show during it's out of town tryouts because barring a horrible accident or extreme illness, performers are very unlikely to miss performances during a tryout.

So paying an extra person to essentially follow the company around for a month or two is ridiculous. Therefore standbies for NYC are usually hired but do not join the company officially before it hits New York.

I assume if NOTHING had gone wrong, Ms. d'Amboise would still be in Chicago at this moment. I think I read somewhere that the plan was that she would star in Chicago while also serving as the standby for a bit. Not sure why the Weisslers would be wanting to pay her two salaries at once, so maybe that is slander.

I wonder if Charlotte will return to Chicago, or just stick to Charity full time.

If Charlotte does not return to Chicago. I wonder if the Weissler's will keep Michelle DeJean as Roxie full time, until their summer stunt Roxie comes in.

That would be cool!

I am so glad I held on to my tix! Now I'll have a chance to see the show, and I don't care if it's Charlotte or Christina either! Either one would have made me go see the show.

I never thought I'd be grateful to the Weissler's, either!

Smart move on their part...or pressure by Christina to suck it up and open the show....I don't care!! I get to see the product of 3 years worth of work!!

Wow...what a turn around. Either great fortune or great publicity (wish I could think of something like that...)! LOL! I wish the production the best and hope they make the most of their "second chance"! :)
