Ana didn't fly when I saw it in January. It was interesting to see (but, being my friend's first time seeing the show, it was a let down.)
She ran back when the guards began to break in and she looked a little frazzled because she stood there for a second, not really knowing what to do. Then she came to center stage and sang. I wasn't impressed with her performance until the end of the song... When she didn't fly, it was obvious that she was trying to make up for it by singing her ass off.
The only thing that was awkward really was that she still pretended to look down at the guards who were now only about 3 feet away from her.
I heard mixed things during intermission. Some were saying "Well, on Broadway she flies. They must of changed it" and some were saying how thrilling they thought the end still was. I was actually surprised that I still thought it was very climatic.

"Yes. It has happened to Eden in LA, I believe Jenna on tour somewhere, Sho, and maybe Stephanie"
I may be wrong, but I dont think Eden performed in LA. Stephanie did LA, with Jenna as her backup, and then Eden did the San Fran run because Steph was hurt, and after San Fran Eden went to NY.

Posted: 5/1/06 at 9:57pmEden DID perform at the VERY end of the L.A. run, and she didn't go up. I was there, but she did an awesome job nonetheless... my dad had no idea she was supposed to fly at all.

Eden told her to learn to sing the song with her feet together.
Prior to that, she was singing it with her heels in the air. Trollop.
