No prob, WickedRocks. Oh and for whoever is curious, the box seats are fine. They're not the best seats in the theatre but given what the set looks like for this, I really doubt you'd have any issues seeing from them.
I hope the chemistry issue, if there is one, can maybe be resolved in previews and as the two of them get more comfortable in the roles. I agree that a lack of chemistry between the leads in this show is a pretty big deal.
What was the running time tonight?
Does anyone know why there doesn't appear to be a performance on the 3rd of april (a wednesday) as that is the one day I can make it!
OOh nevermind, just realised Opening night is the night before, so it is probably sold out!

So I was planning on getting some sort of cheap rush ticket (or 30 under 30) ticket for this on Saturday April 6, but will there be any available? What's the best way for me to buy a cheap ticket: buy now or wait and buy at the box office in the morning of that day? Thanks!
^ According to the Second Stage website, no youth tickets are available for the 6th. So I guess you'd have to take your chance with the rush.
Kelly-- Thanks for the info about the box seats. I hope they're not as bad as people have made them out to be.

Okay, thank you! I wasn't sure if there were rush tickets being sold apart from 30 under 30, so I'll just try for the rush, thanks!
I can only speak about sitting there for Dogfight but the "box" seats are terrible. You don't even feel like you're in the theatre because they're so far to the side and separated. A friend went last night and he didn't think the view would be too great for this show.
If you're going for rush and the show is sold out (which is likely at this point especially on a Sat) then you're chances aren't too great. I will be interested to see how the rush goes during the run.

Sorry, but I have one more question! The website says that rush is offered one hour before curtain, so does that mean if I'm seeing an evening show, I can't get the rush tickets when the box office opens? I'm only asking because when I saw Other Desert Cities, it was the same policy, but I was able to buy one a few hours before they were selling the rush tickets. Do you think this box office will be more restrictive? I guess I'll have to wait and hear from other people's rush experiences for this show!
They definitely won't sell you tickets until an hour before the show.
I ask again: What's the running time? And, also: Would those who've seen this already say that it's fair that any seat is a good view in the orchestra?

was there last night at the second preview. Running time was 90 minutes.
The show is in amazing shape right now. The few times that adam and betsy were together the chemistry was great. Such a brilliant night at the theatre.
At the talk-back after the show Adam talked about how he thinks he really found the charter tonight, and thought he was way better than the night before. it definitely showed too, he was great!
Betsy was perfect. So great to see her sing drood that afternoon at the signing, then see her belt the **** out of the Last five years score. She is absolutely amazing and a performance not to be missed.
The few set peies there was were great too. They need to straighten up the staging a bit, the actors were saying some things they are trying to do with the blocking.
Overall i say this show was absolutely wonderful, and should absolutely not be missed! The performances are great and you'll leave with a few songs stuck in your head.Just wonderful.

Anyone catch this over the weekend?
Walked by the show the other day about two hours before the show and the rush line was incredibly long. Anybody know how rush has been going?
Does anyone think this will extend again??
I hope so! Not only am I unable to get to NY during the current run (without students/children) but a friend of mine went within the last few days (and thought it was wonderful) said the run is sold out.
An extention is my only hope, Obi Wan!

they said at the talk back that there is really no chance it will get extended again since there is another show coming in. it wouldn't transfer to broadway since it is such an "off-broadway" show. maybe a transfer to another off-broadway theater? Let's hope!
"a friend of mine went within the last few days (and thought it was wonderful) said the run is sold out."
That's not true. I just went on their ticketing website now and pulled up singles and pairs for more than a handful of dates.
I have no doubt they're close to it, but the run isn't sold out as of now.

Is last row worth it for the $30 deal? I've never been to this theatre before -- contemplating..
Here's the latest preview...
Makes me all the more excited! They both sound beautiful.

Does anyone know if there's going to be a cast album? Just wondering given that all the preview videos have been in a studio
I asked Betsy when I was there last night and she said that there has been talk of a recording and they all want it to happen, but she won't believe it's gonna happen until she's in a studio in front of a mic.
After seeing the show though, it better be recorded.
Well, the ads state that it is playing through April 28, but they have tickets on sale through April 30. Guess that's our extension
