Posted: 8/23/07 at 7:02pmThat's OK. As long as you come out two hours later for me, I think I'll be fine.

I hope when they release the reviews they include some more photos of the show
A lot of times the majority of production photos come out when the reviews do, so yeah...it'll be interesting to see how the Denver critics like it.
I'm sure they'll be a bit kinder than the New York critics will be.

Posted: 8/23/07 at 7:05pmI came out 4 years ago and if that's you in your avatar I'll come anywhere you want but as for time, the second I come I'm done.

Posted: 8/23/07 at 8:21pmI'm sorry if you inferred sexual references with my post but that is completely your doing and not my fault at all! Work on it. <3

DISNEY has spent Tons of $ in the Denver POST (sic)
So expect a kind review from them.
And they also seem to have a strong hand on several posting boards.

Posted: 8/23/07 at 10:26pmYeah, the Post seems like it may hold a lot of bias for the show to do well. Take a look at their main webpage for theatre: http://www.denverpost.com/theater . LM overload!

Posted: 8/24/07 at 12:23amMorelike there isn't alot to write about in Denver right now, esp. anything of Mermaid's caliber. And if it's John Moore reviewing, it won't be so much a review as a summary of plot. The Rocky Mountain News' critic, Lisa Borenstein is much better... FYI

Posted: 8/24/07 at 12:53amI was at the opening night tonight! What a blast. The show was great, everyone was just sensational. Definitely the best I've seen it. And I was sitting near a group of critics, and they looked like they were LOVING it, especially Tituss and Sherie.

Posted: 8/24/07 at 1:44amThis is definitely the most exciting entertainment event in Denver. This is a huge deal for us. As far as I know, this is the first time a show has mounted its tryout here. Hopefully, more shows will follow suit...

*sigh*
Don't use "hopefully" as a sentence adverb. Say "I hope more shows will follow suit" instead.

Rose,
Thank you for your comments. I'm a big fan of Denver and I'm happy to hear about the excitement in your city over his event.

Posted: 8/24/07 at 2:06amYes, thanks for your comments (the non-standard use of "hopefully" notwithstanding).

ROFLMAO! I'm just gonna hope that I misunderstood you and that that didn't sound sexual (Can I say that on these boards?lol) at all.
I'm sure if Walt were still alive he'd be shocked to find that the word "come" and "colorful" sexual inferences were mentioned in the same place as The Little Mermaid. Hehe.
I've never heard of Rocky Mountain News. I'm sure that that's not a review/article that really matters. But I could be wrong.

Posted: 8/24/07 at 7:58amHopefully it will get better grades? Are there only two newspapers in Denver?

Posted: 8/24/07 at 8:18amRose, BKLYN did a try-out in Denver. But BKLYN was an embarrassment for everyone involved, so I forgive you for forgetting it.

Posted: 8/24/07 at 10:43amI remember when the Lion King tried out in Minneapolis. It's a VERY big deal when a new Broadway show is having an out of town preview in you're home city. It gives you a sense of pride in way; seeing a big show try out in you're area.
