I think this is a good idea to save a lot of posts that new person will post anyway.
My question is, I know Les Miz offers student rush. I will visit NY next week and want to see it. My question is, how early should I be at box office to secure a pair of student rush tickets? Since Lea Salonga join the cast, the show seems packed from last week's gross. Is it still possible to get rush tickets? If yes, how competetive is it?
Your info is highly appreciated.
sorry sanda,
Les miz, doesn't have student rush anymore. I just tried to get tickets for it yesterday at the box office( the employees were quite rude I must say) and was turned away with a few other students becasue it's no longer offered. I guess it's because the show has been selling so well and the theatre does rush with whats left over instead of actually allocating specific tickets just for students. So me and my friends were pretty pissed off at all things French yesterday. Oh, there are like balcony seats for $37.00 but they are sold out until April.
I'm pretty sure Les Mis rush goes on sale two hours prior to curtain, so if you get there by 5 you should be fine. Keep in mind they only sell rush for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

les mis does have rush!
from les mis' website:
Student rush: $26.25 student rush tickets are available at the box office two hours prior to performances Tuesday - Thursday evenings. Valid ID is required, and there is a limit of two tickets per ID. Student rush is not available February 14 and April 3-12.

Well Yesterday was March 13 and thats not listed in any of those dates and I was told that that there was no Rush or SRO policy. So my question to you Zeitoujo, is WHAT UP WITH THAT?
There were kids there that missed out on seeing Conan getting taped because of the misleading info on the les miz website. and there is no way to call the box office and ask because the links are all to ticket master.
Hey, beyondblessed,
Thank you very much for letting me know this. I think I will just go for the tkts to try my luck then.
Also, is the coupon on savingonbroadway still usable after Mar16? The expiration date of LesMiz is March 16 and I can only make it to NY on Mar 22. I wonder if the box office stick to the rule closely or not.

Hahahaha.
Oh man. This is enjoyable.
I saw Les Miz last Wednesday and Lea Salonga was in it already, I got 2 mezzanine seats (row B) about 10 minutes before the show started and the theatre was maybe a 60% full. Great student rush seats still available.
