At last night's performance, the majority of the audience assumed the show was over with the throwing of the confetti at the front door. Little did they know there was a lot more to come.
Front mezzanine is definitely the best place to sit, even though as stated many times the seats are uncomfortable, and there is no legroom. Also, last night the sound mix in the front mezzanine was atrocious. Anytime there was music playing it would drown out Snook's vocals.
She's amazing, the physical design is brilliant at times, and as others have stated it shows exactly how video should be used during live performance, and I would agree that this is not a play, this is a performance art piece with a lot of wigs.

I'm slightly more charitable, I admired the show but can't say I liked it. It's so relentless that by the opium den scene I was like "Let's wrap this up." Strong climax, but overall one of my most anticipated shows of the season was a miss"
I agree 100% with your mom!

Caught it Saturday afternoon. My only thought is this was one of the most exhausting theater experiences I have ever experienced and I have no idea how Snook can do this day after day after day
She deserves the Tony for her crazy perfect performance.

Seating suggestions in the mezzanine? Looking at some of the relatively cheaper tickets in the left and right mezz. Better to sit closer (F or G) but a little more off center or further back (J) but more center?

I would lean towards being more center since being a few rows further back doesn't matter much given the video projections.

I would prefer closer seats on the sides because often the screens block the actor and from the side you'll be actually able to see her. This was my experience
