I'm going on the 17th to see AJ Shively (who I loved in ReWrite) do Lance Rubin's track... so excited!
I loved it too. I hope people go see this and enjoy it.
Did they just set up in front of the Everyday Rapture set or how did it look?

the floor is covered by black (so Rapture's painted floors aren't seen) and the scenery is kept simple with a few stools, cylinders covered in magazine clippings and a tall platform with a ton of images of whiskey bottles, porn stars, the twins from the shining, etc. plastered all over it. The band has to stay in the back (unfortunately) thanks to Rapture's rules.
Rapture's rules? ha.
Well, I wish I could see it, but last night was the only night I could have gone. I wish I had known. Oh well, I'm sure it will be back in some capacity soon.
WAT, I am so glad you enjoyed the show!
The audience on Friday night was going CRAZY...
I think everyone should go see the show with their moms for Mother's Day tomorrow...

i love this show. Last night was awesome and AJ stood in for Lance like a pro! He was so good. There's only one show left, tonight at 8. GO! Don't miss this bad boy.
I don't know how it was, I'm seeing it tonight LOL
But I'll be sure to report back as usual.
How long is the show?
ANY reason to see Katrina sing is worth it!
She rocked as Tracy in Hairspray Vegas and on the tour!
The show is 90 minutes-ish.
LAST SHOW TONIGHT!!! Don't. Miss. This.

I had a ball tonight. I was first introduced to Iconis with PLANT THAT ATE DIRTY SOCKS last year on Christopher Street and was hooked. He's a very promising composer-lyricist whose music is alternately intelligent and witty and profound.
Tonight's concert seemed a bit long through the middle, and by the end, I had enough of what seemed to me like angst, but it was a very enjoyable night out. The place was a-rockin'. The singers are wonderful - to pick one out would be a crime. So collectively, they're fab.
Too many great songs to pick a favorite. Hope it gets recorded.
(And for you stargazers, I was sitting across the aisle from Michael Berresse and Jeff Bowen. And Kerry Butler and her husband (I imagine) were a few rows behind me. That chick has a distinctive laugh!)
Yankee, you were a row behind me!!
I loved the show as well. I agree it felt long at times but it was a total blast...those performers each have such distinctive talents and INCREDIBLE pipes. I really enjoyed myself quite a lot. Iconis doesn't score with all of the songs, but a majority of them are quite solid with a few really standing out as stunningly well-written. I had a great time and definitely look forward to seeing what he has in store for us in the future.
