Since I've been a member of TDF I haven't purchased a ticket at the TKTS booth in ages. What are you paying for a musical ( Evita let's say) with 50% off, plus fees? Thx

last time i checked, evita was at 30%, so it would be between $80-$110 depending on the seats

Thanks- i was just using Evita as an example. Im curious to what the 50% mark off would be with fees. Lets say NEWSIES at top price of 140.00. We talking $70 or more?

When you question gets answered, you will look for other discounts, another example, say Book Of Mormon. lol

I paid $88 (including fees) for Follies at TKTS in January with I think 40 percent off.

With even play prices going up, it's getting tough to get anything for less than $65-70 unless you specifically ask for the cheapest seats they have (which I have done).

considering most Broadway musicals charge $130-$140 for orchestra/front mezz., even at 50% off it would be $65-$70. I remember being about to get TKTS tickets for $40-$50 each, which wasn't that long ago.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

There is a surcharge as well. I think it's something along the lines of $4 per ticket.

What what would be the best time to get in line at the Times Square booth for an Evita evening show during the week next week?

Thanks!

It varies. If you happen to have a smartphone, the free TKTS app is terrific. It actually plugs you into the computers at the three booths (Times Square, Seaport, and Brooklyn) in real time. Then you go to the booth to make the purchase.

Do you know if Brooklyn's TKTS booth usually has worse seats or they're all equally divided between the booths? I heard that Brooklyn's has worse because the Times Square one obviously has the most visitors but not sure if it's a rumour or not...

Thanks, macnyc! Just downloaded the app, we'll see how that goes. Just quickly, though: if you had to guess which time would work out best, what would you say? I live about 2 hrs outside of the city and I'm trying to organize my sched for next week. Thanks (:

After you use the TKTS app for a few days, you'll see when Evita tickets are generally available. You'll notice that the discounts can change over the course of an afternoon. Availability will probably be better during the week than on weekends.

(Edited because I thought of a more helpful answer!)
