oh, c'mon -- Frances McDormand was without question the worst-dressed person on that stage last night ... that probably was the same jeans jacket she wore to the decades-prior rock concert mentioned in her acceptance speech! it was just god-awful ...

yeah, whoopi's hat was a mess -- unless she was going for a Guinan throw-back thing! -- but at least it suggested some EFFORT.

this is probably as much as i've posted on one topic on this site in eons, and i don't actually care all that much about it -- AND i'm actually not a fashion snob -- but mcdormand's look was shockingly inappropriate for the occasion.

but the question was who was the worst dressed, not whose attire made the most attractive political statement.

if it was her goal to tell us all that clothes don't matter, then mission accomplished.

Whoopi as Miss Celie was at least appropriate to the occasion.

Frances was really just flipping off the Tonys in my opinion. Between her jean jacket and the foul expression on the Coen brother husband of her's face, I just wish they hadn't shown up.

Bettyboy72 you couldn't be more wrong. And it's a load of crap to say she doesn't give a f*@$. Have some respect for the occasion. If she doesn't give a f*@&, then she should have stayed the hell home. Would it have killed her to shower, comb her hair, and put on an appropriate dress for 6 hours. It's the Tony Awards, not the MTV Movie Awards.
