Has anyone read this? He slams everyone who has ever played Brick and makes his same statements about eight shows a week. He is a complete joke.

You'd think his Grandma would have mentioned the schedule to him at some point. Or he would have at least read his contract. Lucky he didn't get any of the shows he auditioned for with his fake resume. If he hates being the star, he would have REALLY hated being guard #2.
Anyone who says that Brick is not homosexual is an idiot.
"I never pretend on stage"? Duh. Is that the same as "I never act on stage" -- one would guess so from his performance.
"Anyone who says that Brick is not homosexual is an idiot."
Tennessee Williams said he did not write Brick as a homosexual character, but as someone who can't get close to anyone after Skipper's death.
That said, Terrance Howard is full of himself. Did he see every other Brick perform? Because I'm sure they've done a hell of a lot better than he's doing every night, when he makes it.
Whoa. You're right that Tennesse Williams said he didn't write him as a homosexual character -- meaning that was not the main issue -- but Mr. Williams NEVER said that Brick didn't have homosexual "issues".
Okay. We can agree on the fact that he has homosexual "issues." But I still don't think Brick is gay.
I think that is too easy of an answer to just say that he can't be with Maggie anymore because he likes men. I think that can be a part of it, depending on the actor, but I think it's a stronger choice for Brick to be played as a very confused straight man.
Every article I see seems to make him appear more and more like an arrogant, ignorant ass.
For all his griping about the "slave labor" conditions of Broadway, he's more than well compensated for it, particularly considering his lifeless performance. And it's an insult to the people out there who are pulling 50- or 60-hour weeks and getting paid $8 and hour. Go back to making crappy schmaltz like "August Rush," babe, and don't grace us with your presence anymore.
I would think his great grandmother would be embarrassed.
I have been a Terrence Howard fan since I saw him in "The Best Man". But I am liking him less and less with these statements and his arrogance. And from the few friends I know who saw the show, they have said his performance is not the best they have seen.
OMG! "Tony's" is bad enough but at least I can understand how it comes about. But sticking a stray apostrophe in WILLIAMS for heaven's sake?!
Weez, you just made me literally laugh out loud!
I just read an article that called him "The self-proclaimed most arrogant man on earth" or something like that. So he is cognizant of his arrogance.
Anyone remember what its from?
Because I can't for the life of me remember where I read it...
Weez, Tennessee Williams never objected to someone sticking one in him now and then.
Ooops. Did I say that out loud?
It's all right, ray; Patash just did the same to me. ^_^
"Yeah, y'all, I read that article. That boy ain't right. And, Chip, get that damn apostrophe outta my name. Oh well, I'll have that martini now."

Terrence has issues...and not just about Broadway:
"ELLE: What one item could you find in a woman's house that would prove that you weren't compatible?
TH: Toilet paper—and no baby wipes—in her bathroom.
ELLE: Wait. I don't think I understand.
TH: If they're using dry paper, they aren't washing all of themselves. It's just unclean. So if I go inside a woman's house and see the toilet paper there, I'll explain this. And if she doesn't make the adjustment to baby wipes, I'll know she's not completely clean."
That's not enough?
There's more
He comes off as extremely arrogant in that article.
That ELLE article is horrific. I'd really like to put Terrence Howard in a box. And then I'd put that box in a bigger box, and then I'd mail it to myself, then when it arrived - HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I'd SMASH it with a hammer!
(Um, that's a film reference, not a semi-veiled murder threat. :P)
And what is up with that whole thing about woman he's attracted to having to have his features?!! I bet he has a ton of mirrors in his home!

it's sort of amazing that a man who was so thoroughly humiliated by a woman who he was attracted to would become misogynistic and overly concerned about the "dirtyness" of his lady friends. Dr. Freud? Is there a Dr. Freud in the house?
What an ass! I blame Debbie Allen. I have never seen a movie with Terrance Howard nor will I ever. The sooner he leaves Broadway the better. Don't let the door hit you on the way out!
Weez, I'd like to do the same thing, except first! I'd turn him into a flea, a harmless little flea . . .
..this guy is so obviously on the down low. Not that there's anything wrong with that (Seinfeld), but really.....not even a journalist could make him look good....
Perhaps, his "people" think the bad boy "image" is helpful to the career?
As one who doesn't mind admitting she finds the "bad boy" image hot, this is NOT a "bad boy" image. This is an "arrogant ass" image, and I really can't think of any time I've ever found "arrogant ass" a turn-on.
Maybe his "people" are playing a trick/game, seeing how far they can push him before he realises it's all just a wind-up? Not a very valid hope though, I tend to hope everything that worries me is a wind-up. Especially the works of John Grisham. O_O
Let's just hope he doesn't PUBLICLY support Mr. Obama!? lol
I cannot believe he said "...no one has ever fully brought Brick to life." Really? REALLY?
