I could wax poetic regarding the plight of women over 40 in the entertainment industry, but you only have to look at what happened at The Tony's (Lisa Kron and Jeanine Tesori's win not being televised) to elaborate on the point.
Women over 40 are not being encouraged as playwrights enough, either. It's something Tina Howe taught me (and she would know.)
