Am I the only one who thinks this could be great. Also people love The Addams Family so it would probably do pretty well at the box office.
You forgot the one problem with the show that would prevent it from being so amazing - It Sucks.

I misread this as "The Addams Family Movie, Musical," rather than "The Addams Family, Movie Musical."
The biggest tragedy about the Lippa version is that it used a neutered, generic stage farce plot instead of adapting one of the clever, edgier Addams Family films, which contain DOZENS of singable moments in each and allow the family to be both strangely lovable and genuinely sinister, even evil. The stage show's hackneyed "La Cage Aux Folles" inspired plot gave us a family that were spooky but cuddly and harmless, which is not necessarily what people expect or want from the Addamses.
Yes the reviews were not great but I really enjoyed it. So maybe like the tour a move could once again rework it. And yeas Clandango is a must :)
No.
It would be just another crappy summer movie.
The score had some catchy moments, but the show really was a crock of sh*t.
Tango De Amor was the highlight of that show.

Not too many folks wanted to see it on b'way -- what makes you think they'd want to see the musical as a film?

Or more specifically, it used You Can't Take It With You. Even down to the dinner game.
I never saw it The show didn't do to well on Broadway and it did worse in sydney

I really enjoyed some of the score but when I saw it live on tour...it just...was pretty barf. The best part about it was Gaelen Gilliland.
