A bunch of freshly scrubbed chorus kids jumping around acting "punk".
Joey Ramone is so lucky he's dead so he doesn't have to witness this.

Posted: 2/28/10 at 2:32pmHmm...imagine that. Actors that are "acting" like someone other than themselves. What a concept. Soon we'll find out that the HAIR tribe members really have homes.

Posted: 3/1/10 at 11:14amI'm totally excited for the show, but I do have to kind of concede the point that the commercials are just a mite bit cringe-inducing. A bunch of musical theatre boys making affected Billy Joe faces, pursed lips and all. I'm still excited, but these 30 seconds got me a tad nervous.

It was only a 30 second commercial. When I saw it it gave of the whole loud rocker vibe that Green Day fans would buy into in a heartbeat. Which, is the audience that they are for.
I think that the ad was supposed to attract two groups. First group being Green Day fans who were skeptics when the show was announced originally for their run at Berkley Rep. The fans that when they saw the show their fears were put aside. And then the other group of Green Day fans who have no clue that their favorite band is putting on a Broadway show.

Isherwood actually gave it a mixed-to-positive review out in Berkeley.
Hated the lyrics and book, liked everything else.
