i think it was just a discussion between Donald and Marc... i don't think it will happen.
ok, let me rephrase that:
i PRAY AND HOPE it won't happen

Posted: 10/23/05 at 7:26pmIf it did happen it would be a novelty thing. People would go for one performance and it would be put to rest very quickly. I can't even believe that they came up with the idea to make the Apprentice a musical.

Posted: 10/23/05 at 7:36pmYes, George would clearly be THE role to play, Other than Olmarosa of course and everyone knows that Audra will nab that one real quick! If this ever DID happen Trump would have to put his own money up to do it, As Rosie did with "Taboo" - and while I am on the subject, I's just like to say I have been a fan of "Taboo" long before Broadway and love the show, and I must give Rosie a MILLION KUDOS for doing that, she took such a brow beating but she did it, and as R.P. MacMurphy says in "One Flew Over The Cukoo's Nest" - "I tried goddammit, At least I did that!". Funny, I had a dream last night with Rosie announcing "Taboo" openng again, But it wasn't at the Plymouth, It was a new cast in a Club she had bought in the Theatre District, Kind of like 54, Just in case it comes true you heard it here first - Hey Ro, You looked fabulous as usual in the dream by the way! (Boy George wasn't in it BTW)

That is EXACTLY what I thought Ryan, I was imagining all the "apprentices" singing "God I hope I get it." Like I said above I would rather see how to succeed over the apprentice any day.
I never really watched the show, but Audra would definitely get Omarossa...it just fits too well.

Posted: 10/23/05 at 8:00pmAudra is too good to play some diva-wanna-be who needed 15 minutes of fame to validate her life. I really hope Trump keeps his ugly toupe and hands off Broadway! Disney has corrupted it enough already.

It wasn't just a discussion or a joke. According to Trumpy: The Weisslers are producing and songs have been written.
Ugh.

Posted: 10/23/05 at 8:12pmI absolutely agree Ray, But if it were to be a BIG Musical, I'd want to see Audra in a lead role is what I was saying. I don't think she would take it but any chance to see her is a good reason. Also, The Donald doesn't wear a Toupe, It's his, and it is a FRIGHT Indeed!

Posted: 10/23/05 at 8:26pmI kinda hope this does happen, just so I can see it. It sounds like a train wreck in the making, but at the same time, I know i would go see it. It might surprise ppl and be good. Kind of like Bat Boy or something.

Not good. Really Not Good.
Is there going to be 12 reprises to "You're Fired!"?
*Cringes* This is a whole new low for Broadway....
#19re: The Apprentice: The Musical
Posted: 10/23/05 at 10:02pmIt will probably be similar to "Putnam County Spelling Bee"in some ways. Just a guess, maybe not.

Posted: 10/23/05 at 10:05pmAhhhhh you took the words right out of my mouth! I just logged in to say that it would be like Spelling Bee! Instead of "Goodbye" there would be "You're Fired."

Yes. It's very serious, not a joke at all.
I support what the Weisslers do, this may be a bit odd. But I wish the Weisslers much luck.

Posted: 10/25/05 at 1:23amThis has got to be the worst idea for a musical in the history of bad ideas. But Trump is egotistical enough to think he can do anything, so why not Broadway? Even if he dumps a ton of money into and it closes overnight he will still proclaim it to have been "The greatest success in Broadway history..." and all we will be able to do is sit back and watch, mouths agape.
