Jordan, it's mostly the same. There is a very brief flashback with Tony Blair that wasn't in the broadcast (at least not that I remember). I'm not familiar enough with that broadcast to notice any other script changes. If there are they are pretty subtle.

Jordan, One of my friends who went with me also had seen it in London, and in addition to the added Tony Blair scene he said the ending of act one (quite impressive) was added for Broadway.

Morgan has said that he made tweaks to the script for American audiences.

Marie: Don't be in such a hurry about that pretty little chippy in Frisco. Tony: Eh, she's a no chip!

"The Disneyfication of Broadway would soon be complete."

I'll take The Lion King and Aladdin over a lot of other shows just about any day.

Anyone sat in partial view? Do you miss a ton?

Saw this tonight. I rushed at like noon and got a single seat marked "partial view." I was at first peeved, but I could see everything I needed to.

That said. I LOVED it. I find it rare when I want a play to keep going. I wanted to know more. To hear more. I was fascinated, interested, engaged, entertained. I'm in my 20s and I can't say I knew much about any of it going in. I mean I know Churchill, I know the Queen, I know Tony Blair, I've heard of Thatcher, etc. But I feared maybe it would be all politics and I'd loose interest. And there are parts, but overall I was so into it. Mirren is spectacular, but that said, the entire cast is really just phenomenal. Everyone is making good use of their 10mins of stage time, and Mirren holds the whole thing together. I'm so happy I got to see it, and I couldn't recommend it enough.

Does anyone know if they are publishing the schedules of the two young girls that are sharing the role of young Elizabeth..or is it hit or miss of which one we will see?

Just curious..

I saw this tonight and I have to add my praises to it. The wonderful transformations that she made throughout the piece were astounding, and it is something for any young actor to see. I also hope that Richard McCabe is remembered come awards season. His work and chemistry with Mirren is a electrifying.

And yes, the end of act one was just a pure treat for the eyes.
