re: The Billy Elliot Love Thread

It's been said - repeatedly - that there is no schedule. You can check the board (in the lobby) on the day of the show. Otherwise it's just a guess.

I'm excited to be seeing it again in about 3 weeks and I'm torn. One side of me really does want to see each of the boys in the role but an equally loud voice is wanting to see Kiril again. (Of course if I do see him again, he will permanently occupy the role of 'Billy' in my brain!)

For the last couple of weeks it has been Trent, David, Kiril. So I would go on that for now.

Maggie gets a tank in the Broadway production - she didn't have that in the West End!

Interesting that photos of the Merry Christmas Maggie Thatcher number have been released as it was kept under wraps for the West End production; the shock and surprise of it produced a huge reaction from an audience not knowing what to expect.

Trent looks great in the photos. I wonder if he's opening the show. That Maggie Thatcher giant looks pretty freaky. lol.

Can someone please post the songlist page from Playbill or direct me to a site that has that info???

re: The Billy Elliot Love Thread

Thank you... I do have this list - specifically I am trying to figure out where the Swan Lake sequence fits in ??? I have not seen the show yet.

re: The Billy Elliot Love Thread

Right after 'Deep Into the Ground' Billy and Michael have a little exchange, and then it goes to Swan Lake.

re: The Billy Elliot Love Thread

oh ok, yeah, swan lake is not on the song list. Like the above said...it is in act two 6 months later.

re: The Billy Elliot Love Thread

One of the most exhilarating experiences I've ever had in the Theatre! I saw Trent Kowalik as Billy on November 18th. He was marvelous. Such a wonderful actor. So honest and beautifully understated. Loved the entire supporting cast. Show is top notch on every level. I'm taking a dear friend for his Birthday on December 2nd. I wonder which Billy I'll be seeing. Anybody have an idea? Thanks.

How are the rear mezz seats, the last row, for Billy Elliot? I'm dying to see it again, but I'm not dying to pay $130 for a few people again. Please and thank you!!!!!

And thank you SO MUCH for the video clips!!!! I LOVE them!!!!!!!

I sat in the next to last row on the side in the rear mezzanine and I thought the view was fine. There isn't a bad seat in the Imperial.

Completely random story - but who else am I gonna tell it to?

We saw BE on Friday night (with Trent) and it was even better than I'd dreamed.

Anyway -- the next day we had Equus tickets, so we were in town again. We park on 45th and started poking around for lunch. We picked a pizza shop next to the Red Mango on 8th and ate there. As we were about to leave, my boyfriend says "hey - that kid at the register looks like Billy"... and be damned if it wasn't Trent (and perhaps mom & sister?). I embarrassed myself by saying along the lines of 'hi trent/we were there last night/great show/seeya' .... he said thanks but I swear I think I probably scared him more than anything. hahaha. :)

re: The Billy Elliot Love Thread

I was there Friday night too!!! Wasn't it such a magnificent show? Everyone was so on!! And Trent was phenomenal!! I was hoping to see David, but I am so glad Trent was on! He exceeded my expectations tenfold!!! I cannot wait for a return visit!

edit: Haha, sorry, I was just VERY excited by the show. re: The Billy Elliot Love Thread

re: The Billy Elliot Love Thread

It was so great!!! I was just so enthralled by everyone's performances, and the entire show itself!! I really cannot wait to go back again and see the other Billys! I also met the BIlly understudy, Tommy Batchelor's, mother, and she was a total doll! She is so proud of him, and his brother is as well. A wonderful family, and I hope that he gets to go on soon!

re: The Billy Elliot Love Thread

I agree :) it has been my fav. show for 3 years now, and I am so glad that it is finally here. Tommy is cool as well. He is injured right now so he wont be able to go on for Billy. He will however be worked into the rotation once he is cleared to go on.
