On Wed I am going to the theater with a friend and her daughter. Daughter is 10-she's seen a lot of shows, I and her mom have also seen a lot. The only two we have not seen are The Bronx Tale or Waitress. I am leaning towards The Bronx Tale only because I live part time in orlando and have a subscription for 2017/18 season and Waitress is one of them.
But I'd love opinions-is Bronx Tale a good show? And what would a 10 year old girl like better?
Any thoughts are appreciated.

Waitress for sure. A Bronx Tale is one of the most forgettable shows I have ever seen.

I'd say she'd indefinitely enjoy Waitress more. A Bronx Tale is fine, but I'd doubt most kids her age would be interested in that sort of storyline. Waitress is colorful! It has pies and dessert everywhere! Catchy, pop tunes and a quirky side-storyline! It's a fun show that lots of people of any age like. The only problem would be the content. If she's mature enough, I'd take her. Just be aware that there are curse words, the protagonist is in an unhappy marriage, etc.

Not to mention infidelity and some simulated sex (a few times) on tables, countertops etc.
I'd defer to the mother of the little one on the appropriateness of Waitress (see spoiler)

Thank you! The mom is ok with the subject content on Waitress. She's leaving me to decide since I don't live full time in NYC.
Personally A Bronx Tale has not appealed to me. I wasn't crazy about the movie, and just not interested in the story.

Waitress, for sure. Bronx Tale is a fine show, but Waitress is in a different league.

Haven't seen Bronx Tale, but I honestly found Waitress to be forgettable and dumb. Also not really age appropriate for a 10 year old.

Waitress! There's some sexual content, but it's a lovely show.

I liked A Bronx Tale though I loved the movie and thought the one man show Chazz did was better than the musical. But it's still entertaining. However, if your comment above is how you feel about it, why would you even consider it in the first place? Just see Waitress or see something you've seen before that you absolutely loved and would still enjoy on a second viewing.

A Bronx Tale has some charm if it was just you and your friend and you'd seen Waitress on tour anyway. But Waitress is a fabulous show. Funny, heartfelt, emotional, great songs... especially for an all female group, it's not a contest. Waitress has some story issues but A Bronx Tale's issues are worse.
