I regret to report that I was bored to tears. And so much yelling.

I read the NYT review this morning and was surprised to see it so positive compared to what I've been reading about it from audience comments. I would love to know if this is worth making the trek to Brooklyn to see.

I’m seeing it tonight and looking forward to it. I loved Benedict Andrews’s Streetcar.

I don't usually like to comment on something if I don't have anything nice to say, but I thought this was completely abysmal. I have never seen a worse Chekhov production in my entire life, including community theatre productions where the actors didn't know their lines.

Long story short, I hated it. Don’t actually have much to say, but I’m growing tired of “visionary” directors coming up with these baffling conceits and just leaving the actors stranded to trip all over it.
