The tour should do well."Seeing what both Jinkx Monsoon andWhitney Leavitt did for a show like Chicago, it honestly seems like the producers are just leaving money on the table. Not saying there was an easy out or anything in anyone’s contracts, but just makes you wonder. Also, major missed opportunity from the merchandising team for not capitalizing on the “that was rude” ...

True. But it was still very much in development in Calgary and after that they were planning a pre Broadway tour where they could have worked on it some more before bringing it to Broadway. Then they saw it was a light year for musicals for the Tonys and there were theaters available so they rushed it to Broadway without doing the tour.

Nearly everything about the show is dull and lifeless. The leads are trying their damndest, but they are stuck up a creekwithout a paddle. The cast of 12 is working their asses off doing major overtimeplaying 60 characters each, switching wigs every fifteen seconds. Why do we even have the "teen" version...

It ended up feeling like one of the weaker moments in the score when it’s usually the emotional peak. Curious how others felt."Memory is one of my favorite songs. I watched last night as well. I understand the decision to cast Chasity as Grizabella but the first 80% of the song she sang it very out of tune. Everyone in ou...

SPARE PARTS at THEATER ROW

Caught the first preview. Had no knowledge of the show going in other than Rob McClure was in it.I was so surprised by the end of it to find this is now one of my favorite plays. The 4 actors are truly fantastic and the subject matter fascinating. It was nice to see Rob McClure in a very different role in a very different type of production than what he's usually known for. The biggest surprise to me was Jonny-James Kajoba. He was truly spectacular in his role - just perfection. All the actor...

Any news or insights on "THE OTHER PLACE" at the Shed?

Feb 4, 2026 — 7:10:13 PM

I enjoyed this. Tobias Menzies and Emma D'arcy are extraordinary with strong performances from the supporting cast. Grounded, natural acting where the tension builds throughout. If you liked Oedipus, this has a similar feel but on a smaller, more intimate scale.

This should be rehearsing soon. Does anyone know when they will announce the full cast and creative? There is very little information on this production. Want to know more about who's attached as I'm really thrilled there will be a staged production of this in NYC.

Kyoto at the Mitzi Newhouse

This was truly excellent. It's not a feel good show but it has heart warming moments. Really highlighted how difficult these negotiations were in an engaging, thrilling way. Not easy to do with the subject matter at heart. In the end you appreciate the different players in the event and what they had to do to make history. And I also felt sad that something like this would be impossible to achieve today. If you can get a ticket I definitely would recommend you see this.
