Of course you can. If Meryl Streep did it...
Very true. Isn't Meryl Streep looking for a way to get back to Broadway in an original role?
Casting calls for an NYC development workshop in April just went on Playbill! Since they're doing a workshop, I'm assuming that means they're aiming for Broadway, and not The Public, St. Ann's, or the Armory, which is where I thought it'd end up.
Very exciting!
I would think Broadway has always been the goal, since it has 3 prolific Broadway producers behind it: Sonia "Harry Potter" Friedman, Tom "Anastasia" Kirdahy, and Hunter "OOTI" Arnold. But that's great that they're doing this backers' audition/workshop! Fall 2019 or Spring 2020 Bway?
I'd be shocked if Jordan Roth doesn't attach himself to it.

I'm assuming the workshop is just to get angel investors for a commercial run and/or get LCT or another non profit to mount it. I doubt much needs done on the script minus tiny tweaks you'd make in any normal rehearsal.
If it does happen in NY, I really hope they can get some big names for it to help ensure an audience.

Are you kidding? This play needs major rewrites! Especially Part Two!
