Maybe Big Brother could help us :P

Kathryn, the broadwayworld article mentions that David Grindrod is doing the casting for London if that's any help.
And the book for Doug is a good idea. When are you planning to send the book because I'll pm you with a note for him.
Thanks, mll85! That does help.
I am going to a scrapbook crop on Aug. 3rd, so I am hoping to send it a week after that. I want to make sure it gets to him before he leaves.

Yes the site is open. There was a full page colour advert in the London Evening Standard today showing the usual back of the Four Seasons logo with the various web and phone contacts. This was obviously done as today was the first day of booking.
On a funny note, I got my tickets direct at the box office. This is all so new to them that they didn't have any Jersey Boys pre-printed tickets available, so they had to print them up on blanks.
Ok, I talked to David, and it turns out he will not be doing the casting. Jill Green will be doing it.

Well it says it in the subject heading. Got the story off of Jerseyboysblog (http://jerseyboysblog.com/?p=1576). He'll be on the air from 8-9pm westcost time. And for those of you not in LA, they stream live on the internet. Let's listen in on Erich second attempt at a live broadcast, hopefully it goes better then the call in show he tried a few months ago. I didn't listen in but the mention of it in his last blog sounds like it didn't go so well.

Wow, that's an early start. Presumably Des has the final say on casting? I so want this to be a success therefore nothing less than excellence will do.
It really isnt that early if you think about it. They are opening in March, which means they would be in previews in mid Feb. It will give them 3 or 4 months to cast. plus they have rehearsals.
The cast will be great. All of the JB casts so far have been, and I know this one will be too.
So they could have a stateside run first :P before going to London.
I think they are planning on having the people in the cast be from the UK. I dont see why they would fly them all over here to do a state side run and then have to fly them back.
That's way too much trouble, and I'm sure American Equity would hate to have to host that many British actors just for a pre-run.
Gavin Lee?
And I'm assuming there was some deal for Hadley Fraser, since he's still here.

Kathryn, I swear you get info regarding anything about Jersey Boys before anyone else.
With so much time before the London previews I'm sure they'll find some excellent UK actors. I think that Frankie and Bob also have say in casting. So far anyone in the show who talks about their audition experience has always mentioned that they were infront of them during some point.
Edit to add: I'm wondering if there have been any updates on the casting for Vegas.

I try!
I cant wait to start hearing about how the casting it going. ( yeah I know that havent even started yet)
Has their ever been another show that has had, 2 tours, a broadway show, london show and one in Canada (anyone heard anything about that lately?) at the same time?
Les Miz and Phantom, but it's been a while. There's also Wicked.
Now all we need is a movie.
and a future Souvenir Brochure/Program with the different casts from the different companies :P
I don't think so. Even Phantom stopped doing individual ones in the late '90s.

Jennifer Naimo's blog (http://tinyurl.com/2zfnr5) gives a slight hint about where they are in the casting process. She says she has been seeing "...lots of Vegas callback kids watching the show in the back. This is the finals..with Des being here too." Sounds like they're near the end of the process for Vegas. We'll probably hear an announcement in the coming weeks.
I wonder if they're still going to do the SF engagement that was mentioned in the equity notices.

If that's who've been standing at the back of the orch, the Vegas callbacks are GORGEOUS.
I agree! The Jersey Boys souvenir program should have an insert with all three cast's (and upcoming cast's) biographies just like the one I purchased at the August Wilson. Only there should be three different versions with photos from the current permanent and touring casts.
It's just a great idea that Antonijan made, and feedback from the fans should make it to the publicists, because this will definitely generate revenue!
Also, the souvenir stands should also expand their sizes of t-shirts and sweatshirts to accommodate up to 3X.....

No, that would just encourage the little old ladies to ask various Frankie Vallis to come share a shirt with them. Literally.
