Posted: 3/16/15 at 1:13pmI am coming to see some shows the last week in May. I'm seeing "The King and I", "Finding Neverland", and "Something Rotten." Any suggestions on other shows I should try to see? It's been several years since I've been to NYC. Thanks!

My choices are:
Beautiful: The Carole King Musical
Honeymoon in Vegas
Kinky Boots
Les Miserables
On the Town

Posted: 3/16/15 at 1:56pmI concur with the Fun Home suggestion. I don't know if musicals are solely your interest but there are plays worth seeing, too. Hand to God is quite good, I'm looking forward to Skylight and The Audience is probably worth seeing for Dame Helen Mirren.

Posted: 3/17/15 at 4:34pmThanks! Is "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" family-friendly?

Depends on the family. I would think middle school and up should be adequate.
I totes agree with Luminous on his two suggestions.

Thank you! I had heard the book was banned in some schools for offensive language so it made me wonder about the play.

Posted: 3/18/15 at 1:42pmAs far as family-friendly goes: SLIGHT SPOILERS: Curious Incident has an extramarital affair as one of the plot points. And general bad behavior by both adults in the family.

Posted: 3/18/15 at 1:47pmI can't imagine how uptight you'd have to be to be offended by Curious Incident in either book or musical form.
