Great deal!
Someone brought this up in a prior post (and I'm sure it's a little early to tell since it came out today), but does anyone know if the retail version has the glitch between the final YOUR and WORLD in the Part of Your World (Reprise)? The glitch was apparently noticeable in the Playbill virtual opening night playback, the copies sold at the theater and on the little player on the show's site. I assume that it must be on the retail version as well, but figured I'd ask anyway.

i just got the one on itunes and it has the glitch between those two words in the Part of your world reprise.
I think it is in the OBC that you can buy in stores.

I was just about to post about this being so cheap on itunes. Some of my friends wanted to go buy it but 7.99 is great.

If you buy the actual CD in the stores, does it come with a detailed booklet - photos, lyrics, etc.? Is there an option to download a booklet with the iTunes purchase?
I know this question has been raised many times before, but is Brian D'addario on the cast album, and if so, which songs is he in? Thanks.

What glitch is this, because my copy doesn't sound like it has anything wrong with it, and I believe it is a rip of the in-theatre version.
Mbmusic - yes its Brian and he sings in "She's in Love"
is he Flounder? cause he is awesome!
sondhead, it's a sharp scratch/static-like sound in between the second-to-last YOUR and WORLD (where Sierra belts) then she goes on to sing "out of the sea, wish I could be .. part of your world." Where did you get your copy that doesnt have the glitch?
It sounds silly and obsessive, but it's noticeable. Why couldnt they glitch up the seagull songs :P
Is the line "out of the sea, wish I could be, part of that world" in the reprise though? I thought that she sings, "part of your world!" and then swims/skates away.

Eight bucks?!! For a quite decent recording of Alan Menken songs?! And I spent 17 bucks on the OBCR for Legally Blonde?!! Sigh...why is life so unfair?
Anyways, the show may be crap, but the album is great. It takes the bad (visuals) out, and leaves the good (music & lyrics) in. Best way to experience Little Mermaid on Broadway IMO, ironically enough...

caitlinette, you're right I was thinking about Part of Your World the song. In the reprise, with the glitch, she belts "World" and that ends the song.
I was thrilled to see $7.99.
So out of character for Disney...
I love the cd, just enough fun and fluff to make you bounce up and down while listening. Not a perfect show, but the cd is a whole lot of fun.

The album does come with a booklet with lyrics, pictures, etc.
I just got mine today - it's great. I listened to it while driving to an appointment this morning and I had to turn it off halfway through the finale because I was bawling like an idiot, lol.
For those interested, I have a skip-free version of "Part of Your World (Reprise)"... just PM me! :)

I'm actually a little dissapointed with Sierra's climax note in Part of Your World. Oh well. Can't have everything I guess. The price is sweet though. :)
FYI, just got an email from Ticketmaster offering me a free download of "She's in Love" because I purchased tickets through them to see the show back in December. It also mentions that the special price of $7.99 is for a limited time and will expire 3/7/08

I really think this is a fantastic recording. I've yet to see the show or hear any of it (aside, of course, from what's been performed and those notorious YT videos), but I think it's great. I haven't been so interested in a show simply based on its recording in quite some time.
I hope I can still post this here. Here is the POYW Reprise fix. :)

I uploaded it with "edit" so that way you don't get it confused with any other versions you may have.
I bought it this morning! I love it. $7.99 is STEAL!
anyone want to trade music pm me!

sleepyguy, I'm not so much disappointed in her note as I am with the new arrangement of the climax of that song. Same with the end of "Under the Sea." It just doesn't pack that extra punch. Sierra is so much better live, though.

Question: Am I crazy, or is Alan Menken ripping himself off at the end of "Storm at Sea"? Isn't that from "How Long Must This Go On" from BATB? Could've sworn...
"Les Poissons" definitely has streaks of "Be Our Guest" in it too.
