^Not to mention the obvious: "Somewhere That's Green" in "Part of Your World", and "She's In Love" definetly sounds like a rejected tune from Little Shop as well...

re: The Little Mermaid OBCR - $7.99 on Itunes

I'm listening to Part of Your World for the 500th time today. I LOVE it. And I actually like the new arrangement of the ending. :)
And mine doesn't have the glitch in it. Hmmm.
I absolutely love this recording. :)

I meant the reprise. :)
And no, I just got it from Itunes, glitch-free. I don't know if the Itunes purchases ever had "the glitch," but I was relieved when I listened to it that it sounded normal. :)

It's right at the end of track 9 between the words "your" and "world". It's very easy to errase using a basic recording program with editing tools.

re: The Little Mermaid OBCR - $7.99 on Itunes

I purchased the album via iTunes and my Part of Your World reprise does contain the glitch. Not to impugn you in anyway By the Sea, but I quite frankly can't see how I have the glitch and you don't. I imagine that you have the glitch and aren't hearing it. ITunes downloads are all driven off the same copy of the file I believe.

re: The Little Mermaid OBCR - $7.99 on Itunes

It's only 7.99 and I still can't bring myself to buy it. I only bought tracks for Kiss the Girl and Under the Sea. Those were the best songs to listen to but a mess on stage.

I'm not trying to be mean. I really wanted to like this show!!

re: The Little Mermaid OBCR - $7.99 on Itunes

Hmmmm, i don't know. I'm listening to it and I don't hear anything "glitch-like" in it. Maybe I'm just not hearing it, but right now it sounds perfectly normal. It's probably on there and for some reason I just don't hear it. I don't know. Weird. :/

goldenstate, I was about to say the same thing. I thought I had hit a button or something to switch to Beauty and the Beast cast album. so weird.

No turning back, you must accept the con is done... It was a ball, it was a blast. And it's a shame it couldn't last. But every chapter has to end, you must agree.

ByTheSea, the iTunes "Part of your World (Reprise)" is 2:01 long, and the CD version (on iTunes while in the drive) is 2:03, but listen closely at 1:45, there should be something that sounds a little like static, if you hear it. Right at the very end of the word "your".

A little annoying that a big company like Disney would allow something into production with a glitch like this, but oh well...

I think "If Only" and "Beyond My Wildest Dreams" are the standouts in terms of new material.

I personally love "She's In Love." I can definitely see it as a rejected number from Little Shop, though. Nevertheless it's spunky and I love it.

re: The Little Mermaid OBCR - $7.99 on Itunes

Well I bought the CD today and just finished listening to the whole thing. First of all, I think that the cast sounds outstanding. Sierra, Sherie, Sean, Tituss, everyone just sounds great. Unfortunatly I found most of the new material to be forgettable. The only standouts among the new songs were I Want The Good Times Back and Her Voice. I thought She's in Love was bad. Brian D'Addario has a great voice, but the song is just not very memorable. I really feel sorry for Eddie Korbich, as he's stuck with one of the worst numbers in the show. Human Stuff wasn't too bad, but Positoovity was awful.

Sherie Rene Scott's Poor Unfortunate Souls was by no means bad, but it seemed to lack some "umpph" to it. I LOVED her on I Want The Good Times Back, she sounded fabulous. I thought Norm Lewis and Jonathan Freeman were severely underused. Norm Lewis got half of one number and 2 very short reprises for goodness sake!

I'm glad I'm not the only person who noticed the little musical bits from Beauty and The Beast. To me, the last few notes of Storm at Sea sounds like the climactic notes of The Wolf Chase . And I could certainly hear Be Our Guest during the Les Poissons reprise.

re: The Little Mermaid OBCR - $7.99 on Itunes

Quick question: On stage, is the part where Ariel sings her voice over to Ursula (towards the end of "Poor Unfortunate Souls") pre-recorded?

One thing I really miss on the recording is the sound of Ariel's voice as it's being pulled into Ursula's shell. In the movie, it gets this haunting, echoing effect as it's pulled from her, but not in the show. Too bad; it's one of those little things that I absolutely love from the movie that's not in the show.

Thanks for answering, emmadny! Also, another question: There is a video on that one site from Denver (the end of "Poor Unfortunate Souls"), and at the end when Ariel stands up, that is Sierra, correct?

re: The Little Mermaid OBCR - $7.99 on Itunes

Oh, I figured out why I couldn't hear "the glitch!"
Today I was listening to my Ipod, and I noticed that my right earphone wasn't working right. The audio kept going in and out. So I listened to it with different earphones, and NOW the glitch is noticable.
I'm so glad I figured out why I wasn't hearing it at first though! I thought I was going crazy or deaf or something!

re: The Little Mermaid OBCR - $7.99 on Itunes

I think I found another "glitch". I was on the bus on the way to school this morning and was listening to "One Step Closer" and near the beginning, I heard it. I don't know if this was on just mine... so just to let you know.

re: The Little Mermaid OBCR - $7.99 on Itunes

Also, on my version of "Poor Unfortunate Souls", after Ursula tells Ariel she wants her voice I heard something...

URSULA: ...your voice.
ARIEL: My voice? (sound) But, if I give you my voice...

The sound sounds like a music stand about to tip over or something. It's light so you should listen closely. Like I said, this might be on my version so I don't know.
