The linked Page Six article is the now second mention we've heard of a Come Fly Away return so maybe it really IS happening

That journalist should check her facts..
charlie is directed by Jack OBrien on Broadway- not Sam Mendes..
and Singin in the Rain started at the Chatelet in Paris, not London.

Pretty sure she means Come FROM Away in that article. Since that is coming next season. I could see On Your Feet going on tour like Motown and now Finding Neverland to make way for Spongebob.
After Motown, I heard that War Paint does have the Nederlander.
Also...no one is asking for the Illusionists to come back...can they just not?

What do you think the likelihood of limited engagements of Sunset Blvd OR Gypsy is to play the Lunt in between Neverland and Charlie? I know Gypsy through Roundabout is "dead in the water" but maybe it could be produced through a different party of producers?

Looks like The Illusionists will have a new show at the Lunt between Finding Neverland and CATCF.
Bumping this for a more detailed discussion than what's going on in the Charlie closing thread.
What're we thinking? The Donna Summer musical? Dreamgirls? Pretty Woman? Honeymooners? Hadestown?
Would be a shame if this theatre is vacant during the whole spring. Such a great location.

Really am hoping for Dreamgirls. I feel like Ain’t Too Proud could go to the Longacre once Bronx Tale inevitably closes in the not so distant future
Is there no feasible way Hadestown would want to snatch this up to compete this season?
It almost surely has already been booked for the spring, and the new tenant will likely be announced shortly. Customary Producers's rule of etiquette is to allow a departing production the chance to announce closing and have a few weeks before the replacement production is named.

so exciting
crossin my fingers for dreamgirls
Girl from the north county?
I just hope it's a musical revival. Crazy For You, Dreamgirls, Secret Garden, I don't even care. Just revive!
Were there any other musical revivals rumored for this season?
A transfer of the recently shuttered SMOKEY JOE'S.
Dreamgirls and Secret Garden were the ones that were announced, and then radio silence (both rumored not to have enough funds in place in time to open this season). Oklahoma is said to be recruiting investors...but would obviously be looking at CITS instead of the Lunt.
This could be where Girl from the North Country is headed.

The theatre will not be empty for 9 months. With the Palace out of commission, the Nederlanders can't afford to have 2 musical houses dark.
I'd love it if CRAZY FOR YOU took the Lunt.
To float my theory from the other thread:
TINA announced it's coming in Fall '19, theatre TBA. So even if it does take the Lunt, there could be time for a limited-engagement of Girl From The North Country at the Lunt this spring. To add intimacy, they could even kill the rear mezz and/or extend the stage out a bit, leaving them with ~1,100 seats.

So that theatre will sit empty for the spring?
