Now that Finding Neverland announced it will close up shop, what will come to the Lunt next?
Bandstand? Anastasia? Hello, Dolly? Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? Singin' in the Rain? Will Weinstein chain himself to the front of the theatre after Neverland closes to prevent anything else from ever taking it?

I believe I read somewhere around here that Spongebob was interested in the Lunt.

I think Bandstand, Hello Dolly, Charlie, and Singin in the Rain are all possibilities. What do you think?

Have you been watching the promo videos? It looks amazing!
also I think singin in the rain might be it.
I watched the promo video today and it does seem cute, but you know that no one around here is going to be clamoring to say they enjoy Spongebob because that's the cover of the book and they be judging it.
Oh, the sass of it all.
I heard SpongeBob as well. i haven't watched the promo videos, but I hate the cartoon more than most things, so no. I won't be in a rush to see it (but I will see it at some point).

Dolly is going to the St James..bored of repeating that..
my money is on Charlie going to the Lunt.

I think the Lunt would be a good fit for Charlie.

I have heard otherwise.
Timing and theater-owner history seem RIPE for...
THE ILLUSIONISTS - November thru January 1.
CHARLIE - March thru Open Ended.

or how about a limited run of Sunset Boulevard in the Fall. No basis in fact here....just a fun speculation. Also think that Charlie would be a good fit for the Shubert. There would be great built in advertising to the right demographic for the rest of the year. Not sure if any of the producing team is the same as Matilda though. Again....just a speculation.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is likely bound for the Shubert.
Anyone know which theater is Anastasia aiming for?
Hello Dolly and Charlie will be setting up shop next door from one another on 44th street, Evan Hanson will be elbowing out Patrick Bateman, and a helicopter will be flying around the Broadway.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will not be on 44th Street. They'll be at the Lunt.

The Illusionists? That's not scheduled to come back to NY, is it? They were cancelling shows in the last run in the fall..
Broadway.com reported that the new musical for the Lunt will be announced next week. So we'll know soon.

Not sure how legit this is, but it looks like Charlie is going to a Nederlander theater. Obviously that would rule out the Shubert, Broadway, Lyric, Winter Garden, St. James, etc., so the Lunt seems like a good option. I doubt the Neil Simon would ditch Cats so soon, and with the Palace's rumored renovations after AIP closes, it's either this or the Marquis for Charlie.
I say Charlie goes here and Spongebob takes the Marquis.
The linked Page Six article is the now second mention we've heard of a Come Fly Away return so maybe it really IS happening
