Its sad that I'd sort of forgotten that tickets were that "cheap".

Now what would you say if today I started over? Without a thing but this taped together four leaf clover And I'll pretend like everything is already alright And I'll run toward the sun till the castle's out of sight

I always kinda liked theatre, but for me it was at 15, listening to the "A Chorus Line" cast album, and Priscilla Lopez singing "What I Did For Love" I listened to that album for 6 months SOLID. My parents were SICK of it by that time.

Sam Waterston and Andrea Marcovicci in the Public Theatre's touring production of "Hamlet". I must have been about 11 or 12. The language was thick but I understood it perfectly

I always loved being in plays in elementary and middle school. . Then in 1998 (I believe) I saw a local tour stop of CATS and from the second those glowing eyes ran towards the stage, I was mesmorized.

"Jellicle Songs For Jellicle Cats" still gives me a bit of a charge when I hear it.

I don't care for much of the rest of the musical, but that number brings about that perfect combo of cute and creepy that made that show so successful IMO.

My mother did a lot of plays Off Off Broadway. She brought me to a lot of rehearsals and shows. Without a doubt, it was seeing the rehearsals and performances of Blithe Spirit. And also The Real Inspector Hound. I definitely got my love of theatre from her. And she was able to get free tickets to Broadway and Off Broadway plays too. I understand that's not possible anymore. Too bad.

My fourth grade teacher was crazy about theatre. As a field trip he took the whole class to see a college prodcution of the King and I. From that moment on I was hooked for life.

You know, ma'am, ? there's nothing I wouldn't do for you. ,If there was a monster or an ogre or anything bad like that wot was after you, I'd rip it apart with my bare fists, I would. - Sweeney Todd

I have always loved theatre for as long as I can remember. I lived just outside of Philly and would go to New York to see shows as a teen. But the day I fell in love with theatre was at a Wednesday matinee of "Sweeney Todd" in 1979. I sat in the empty theatre after the show for 15 minutes unable to move. An usher had to ask me to leave. I have been in love ever since and have given my time to the Denver Center for the Performing arts for the past 8 years. I am currently taking some time off from there, but hope to return.
