Husk, it comes with wanting to see obscure shows. To convince my family to see Sweeney Todd I had to agree to see RENT.
The first time was because I was eleven.

Well I've seen Rent twice.
Oh, and Spring Awakening twice. But that's twice in two days. I thought it was pretty impressive lol.
But you can't bet if I lived up north I'd have seen many more shows many more times.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels- 5 times on Broadway, Tickets to see it two more times on the tour... so 7 by June.
The Wedding Singer- 5 times
Spring Awakening- 3 times
Beauty and the Beast- 3 times (1 London, 2 Broadway, 7 years in between)

Lion King - 2 times (over 9 years)
Avenue Q - 2 times (over 1 year)
Wicked - 2 times (over 2 years)
Les Mis - 3 times (over 15 years)
Rent - 3 times (over 3 years)
Spring Awakening - 8 times (over 2 months, 4 of them in 2 weeks)
I have no doubt I'll hit double digits on SA by the middle of March, and I shudder to think where I'll be by the fall.

Posted: 2/11/07 at 10:58pmThe most I've seen a show is Wicked with only 6 times. I've also seen a bunch 3 or 4 times as well, but I prefer to see a new show before I see a repeat. I usually see repeates if there's a significant cast change.

THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA - 150 plus times.
...no I'm not a crazy fan. I worked as an usher at the Ahmanson when it ran here, and we were required to sit/stand in the theatre
during each performance.

I've seen Spelling Bee 9 times, and Little Women 3 times...those are the most times I've seen shows.
I've also seen one of my school's shows 9 times. =]
