ElphabaScaresMe - the girl is my friend Kandice who is the current Miss NY. I have her on there cause we were talking about Miss America late last week and I found this ad she did for Danskin that I thought was too fabulous to not share! :)

I have a feeling it's going to be Eden. Until January is kind of a long time for her to wait around not performing permanantly in a show though...

My vote goes to Julia Murney or Heather Headley. They are both very emotional singers with awesome ranges...and i think the thing that many Elphabas have been missing is emotion in their singing. Not melodrama...but real emotion. of the five Elphabas I have seen, Ana probably came the closest, and Shoshana didn't have a clue!

I can't imagine Heather Headley would use being the second replacement in this show as her vehicle for her big return to Broadway.

She has said repeatedly she won't come back to Broadway until the "perfect" role comes along, and I can't imagine this is it.

what about mandy gonzalez? i'd love to see her in the role. either her or sherie rene scott. or someone completely new who has never played elphaba ever.
