Not in a way that you would likely agree with since no one is personally attacking you here?
You asked a question that offended no one. Someone gave you an answer. And then a discussion happened that veered away from your original intent, which you then try to shut down, divert, or make go away.
The easiest way to make any thread disappear on BWW is silence. This would be on page 3 or 4 by now otherwise...

Poking fun at your attempts to micromanage a message board thread are not a personal attack, let alone what you describe above.

Someone threatened him if he came out of the stage door? I'm not making the connection here.

Humor is always a valid reason to reply. I understand you don't find this humorous, of course.

BWW is a bit of a mindset, and I really get a lot of value from the boards. People who find it toxic are often used to more validating and maniacally moderated Facebook groups that run more like echo chambers. I like the pushback. I like being called out. I like being challenged. And when I first joined here, I got a lot of pushback for asking newbie things, and pushed through a lot of overwrought nonsense from the grizzled veterans (and stuck around long enough to now be considered one), but I think it was a worthwhile endeavor. It has challenged me to explore shows I wouldn't have otherwise, consider viewpoints I hadn't, and of course, find humor in things that some people do not.
I don't have an issue with positivity. I also don't think anything in this thread was negativity. It was neutral folly.
If it makes you hesitate before starting a new thread in the future, then it will put you where I am every time before clicking New Post. What I am opening myself up to here? Can I get this info on my own? Am I about to get pummeled? Is there already a thread where this belongs?
Basically, the site traffics in value, so if I'm not providing it, it is best to avoid it. Because once I click Submit, I no longer control this...
