Hi =] I heard about Mandy being out this week, and Janet Dacal is Nina. However, does anyone know of anyone else who will be out at tomorrow's 2pm show. I heard that Janet is an excellent understudy though!

^^ Well, someone will be on in Janet's Carla track- tonight it was Krysta; I've seen both Krysta!Carla and Stephanie!Carla when Janet's been on as Nina... Also tonight Rosie was out, and so Stephanie was on in Rosie's track, and Noemi was in in Krysta's. And Javi and Luis were still out, so Rogelio and Marcos were on. Oh and Shaun was out, Michael was on. I think that's it.

Oh and ps: Testing: Janet had straightened hair tonight. I loved it!!

Hee- that's interesting that Chris said he wasn't sure, as the press release says he, Janet and Olga are doing the Bryant Park gig.

I saw Karen with the Build a Bear box, but I did not see when she got it, lol- I must've just missed you.

Does Karen have a set vacation yet? I think I'm seeing it again on the 15th and want to see if anyone is going to be out.

Michael and Shaun are the other two Usnavi u/s. My guess would be Shaun. That is just a guess.

Yay!!! This is now officially my birthday show (and on the day itself)!!!! (Need to fix the signature!!) Last night I asked my dad if he REALLY wanted to try and see Wicked. (We already have two tickets and the initial plan was we would try lotto and if we won that, my sister and I would sit in the lotto seats and my parents would have the 2 purchased tickets, if we lost, my dad and I would see something else via TKTS or something while my mom and sister saw Wicked.) He said no, that he was fine with not seeing it since he and mom will have plenty of chances to see it when it's at Tennessee Performing Arts Center to kick off the 09-10 season there. He said he'd rather see something else with me. So I said "Just trust me, and I'll get us something great." And he agreed. I was thinking rear mezz based on the seats ticketmaster was coming up with, but I was going to the box office to save on the fees. Well...

I got Orchestra Row D seats 1 and 3!!!!! :) SOOOOO excited!! Of course my sister was all "Do you think he'll like it? And be able to follow the music and story?" I told her it's definitely follow-able when you're seeing it and not just listening to the cast recording. I think he's going to love it!!

And hey, it's MY birthday show!! She gets hers (Wicked), so it all works out! We're both happy campers.

Oh wow, that's awesome! Yeah, I sat in orch row B for this afternoon's matinee and the seats were so amazing, so I'm sure row D will be about just as great! You're in for a treat! =]

It'll be my second time seeing it! :) I really think my dad will love it ~ the story underlying it all is timeless (well, stories are I guess since there's more than one). It's not the kind of thing he'd buy tickets for on his own, so it falls to me to do these things. :) He will find out on Friday when I show up at the hotel with my sister after collecting her from the airport and we go over our options/plans for the weekend. (Parents coming in from Nashville, sister from Orlando.)

I think my chin hit the floor when the guy in the box office said he had "great seats" and pointed on the seating chart. I've had the experience (not there, at other places) where the person was all "I've got a great seat!" that ended up not being so great. But I can't imagine these being bad. :) It took me a second to collect my thoughts and I said "Um...yes please." LOL.

I LOVE the box office staff at the Richard Rodgers- one of the many reasons I am quite ok with how much money I've given them so far this year. :) But yeah, if they've got "great seats" there, they really do have great seats.

Sorry to thread jack, I didn't know whether to put this here or in the YF thread but..

Jordangirl, I knew that story sounded familiar. I guess you were the person I sat next to at Young Frankenstein! Sorry about the person on your left, I she didn't perforate your ear drum. Thank you for not giving an ovation at the end of yesterday's show, I was afraid of being the only one. I wonder what the performers thought when everyone stood but a few people in the front row... Anyway, Beth was funny, and yes, A LOT of Drowsy mannerisms (I read your mini-review on the YF thread), which made me laugh harder! Chris Fitzgerald was ovation-worthy, and Katie Sullivan was really good (minus one crack in Roll in Zee Hay").

Anyway, back on topic!

I'm really happy for you that you got those Orchestra tickets for Heights, and I hope you enjoy the show for the second time. I need to be a good son and finally get my parents to see it...

Oh hey! I somehow survived. The scary thing is I know of one other person in the Hilton last night who I'm sure was just as loud as she was. They could be vocal twins! And yeah...I don't automatically give a standing ovation ~ a show has to earn it from me! :) Glad I had a buddy with that!

And thanks! I'm sure we will ~ I know I will. :)

So I won lotto tonight, front row for Janet!Nina makes me the happiest camper EVER.

Except for the girl two people down from me who was TEXTING in the FRONT ROW during the show- really people? really?? And all I could think about was the Patti/Gypsy story, kid you not. Anyway, we made it thru the opening, and about a minute of En Washington Heights, and my having to suffer thru looking at that glowing screen thru all of that, before I leaned over, said "put that away. please." and the glowing Blackberry screen disappeared for the rest of Act I.

And then she changed seats with someone during intermission- which I don't take any credit for, I'm not that much of a badass, but it still made me lol. But texting in the front row- who does that?? Well I mean I have my answer of who does that, I met her tonight, but still...

Oh- and much much love and thanks for the fact that the Bryant Park When You're Home video is already up on the Tube of You, yay legal video of Janet!Nina!!!
