Javier is still out- Rogelio was on in his track tonight. Everyone else was on.
taylorPHENOMENON2- Santana is his last name, Marcus Santana. He's officially in the Playbill as a swing (not listed on the Heights website yet, though).
Fyi according to her/her Facebook Janet will be going on as Nina next week Tue/Wed/Thurs... so I'm guessing that maybe next week is Mandy's vacation week?
Janet's first time on as Vanessa was this afternoon, and Krysta was on as Carla.. friend was there and said Janet was great, if not quite comfortable in the role yet (which is super understandable)
I was lucky enough to attend today. I felt like Janet seemed very uncomfortable with the role but she had moments of brillance. I was surprised that, while she didn't have the power of Karen's voice, she still handled the vocal demands in a really amazing way. The chemistry with Lin wasn't quite there and at times she digressed into the "Carla" character a little bit.
I'm completely nit-picking here. If it was indeed her first time, it was a valiant effort and she can only get better.

Would love to have seen this !!! After seeing Janet as Nina, want to see her play Vanessa as well !!!
In other news... just got back from seeing "Journey To The Center of the Earth"- (The 3D format is amazing !!) -- anyway... of the trailers was for a baseball movie that looked really good , based on a true story. (I believe it was called "The Perfect Game")- and all of sudden, spotted our own Carlos Gomez !
Yeah! I saw that trailer too... I was like "hey I know who that is!"

"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu
After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofu
Had the absolute pleasure of seeing Janet go on for Vanessa (Krysta on as Carla) this afternoon. Amazing. Loved her The Club- from her gold dress, to her dancing, to her "you don't mind?" and just these *looks* Vanessa was giving Usnavi, I totally felt the 'she's trying to make you jealous' of that part- and her part in Carnaval, and just everything... The woman has possible the most expressive face, I feel that with her Nina also, where you can just *feel* everything just by looking at her face.
Janet!Nina is still my favorite, though, just because it's impossible to clone her and have her be on in more than one track, so if I had to choose one it would be Janet!Nina. :) Yes I will still totally be going back one of the days that she is on as Nina this week.
Javier and Luis both still out- swings Antuan Raimone and Marcos Santana on in their tracks.
I'm going to try and make it down to the city and see the show again in a few weeks! I just got a new job so I think I can finally afford it

Just watched the video. I loved when she was talking about how she had tried to step away from the world of theater and kept getting pulled back in... that's exactly what has been happening to me. I also almost started crying when she was saying how people can find themselves in these characters, because it is so true. One of the things I really loved about the show is that it's incredibly relateable. I truly love this cast and these videos.

Janet has such a positive energy! She seems like a total sweetheart. Thanks for linking that video.
