He has always been the weak link in the cast for me. His line deliveries are always the same, and his vocal problems are numerous and well-documented in this thread.

I chose, and my world was shaken- So what? The choice may have been mistaken,
The choosing was not...

The Times has a story about Broadway's use of viral marketing that is pretty much 3/4 talking about what In the Heights has done (youtube spoofs, Legally Brown, Nicholas, etc.) and 1/4 talking about oh yeah, some other shows are doing some stuff too, lol...
Dancing in the Broadway hit In the Heights, Luis Salgado sways his way into the audience's hearts with his suave moves and upbeat personality. This charismatic persona shines on the small screen in his new instructional DVD, when Salgado teaches his unique blend of Latin style and hip hop. His in-depth knowledge of Latin movement and integrated style of choreography lay the groundwork for combinations in "Latin jazz" and "Latin lyrical." Afterward, watch the lessons transform into performances while Salgado and his team of dancers showcase his choreography in "music videos"--an added treat. But beginners beware: The pacing is swift and basic steps are glossed over quickly. However, the heartbeat and balmy groove of Latin dance remain the focus. You might not master the exact footwork--or hip work--but you will get a dose of true Latin passion.--Lauren Kay

Revamped "The Electric Company" starts later this month... man, I just wondered how many on here ever even watched "The Electric Company"... anyway-
Part of [executive producer Karen] Fowler's approach has been to incorporate hip-hop into the show. She hired the creative team from the Tony Award-winning musical "In the Heights" as music supervisors and worked with an improv hip-hop group called Freestyle Love Supreme. The hip-hop group performs most of the musical numbers -- songs like "Silent E Is a Ninja" and "Miss Bossy R."
So I know some people don't like when people do this but I'm doing it. I run the ITH forum and am we are planning on making a little scrapbook for Lin. Me and few other people will present it. I know maybe some other people will make one as well and that's fine with me. So if you would like to send in a picture of you and Lin or just of Lin or something like that that would be great. Also if you would like to include a little message or letter that would be nice.
So January's almost over and I just made my first trip of the year back to Heights tonight.
Doreen!Daniela and Krysta!Carla were on tonight (fyi for the Krysta Rodriguez fans: apparently Janet Dacal's on vacay this week. Don't know if that means Krysta's doing all eight shows or not, but she was on last night, and tonight...), both of whom I've seen before and enjoy, and it was my first time seeing Nina's new dad Rick Negron, who is fab, but... how has the new (to Broadway) swing Jon Rua not been discussed here yet???
He was on in Rickey's track, and I could not keep my eyes off this guy! I was sitting next to someone who had never seen the show before, and at intermission he started flipping thru his Playbill asking about "the guy with the mohawk" and the best I could respond with was "I know!" That stage is always full of amazing dancers, but Rua totally caught my eye tonight, so I had to post some swing love. (www.jonrua.net :))
And, in case any of you were wondering, Usnavi now brings New Zealand Shiraz vintage *2009* to the dinner. hee. Updated On: 1/22/09 at 12:19 AM
I was wondering if anyone would be interested in an In the Heights RPG. I'm in the process of making one and I'd like to know if there's any interest before I go through with it.
