He was on for today's matinee as well. I thought he was excellent! He doesn't play it as much for laughs as Robin does, but it works.

I'm so lucky I saw the show this weekend. It was my first time seeing it. I don't think it would have been as powerful without Lin-Manuel. I won the lotto, and the seats were so good! I really love this show now - I'm sharing it with everyone I know.
This is random, like most of my posts are, but I thought people might enjoy it here (I had posted it in the Heights forum originally)...Just a bit of fun:
Is he going to be out Sautrday as well? A friend of mine wanted to go to see Eliseo as Kevin, but I know she won't go if Lin's out.

So I have a question about seating in the theater. I'm officially going to be up in NYC from Jan 3rd to the 6th and am going to see the 8PM show on the 3rd. As of right now, ticketmaster lists the best center stage seating at Row F on the Front Mezannine but when I just leave it at Best Available it lists the Row B in the orchestra at seats 5-7.
My main question is, with Front Mezannine and Orchestra being at the same price level, at what point is right/left of center too far too get the best experience. My thought is the closer the better if I'm gonna pay the same price, but I don't want my sight to be limited either.
I personally believe that Front Mezz is the best place to get seats for. Best way to take in the lighting, and dancing. Then again, in the 4 times I've seen Heights, I've always sat Mezz.
See if you can get second row mezz on the right or left aisle. Those are my personal favorite seats.
NityaC, I think you're on the ITH forum, cause I saw that video before so if you are Hey! But you should send that video to Lin's youtube account. He would probably appreciate that.

Why was Carlos Gomez let go? Was it because of the health problems that continuously put him out of the show?
Ironically enough, this is the second time they've had to replace the actor playing Kevin (John Herrera originated the role Off-Broadway at 37 Arts and was not used for the Broadway production.)
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
Somethingwicked (and I'm just speculating here) - I have a feeling it had something to do with his vocal problems. I saw the show 3 times, the first time being in previews, and he always butchered his Act I song.
