He was on for today's matinee as well. I thought he was excellent! He doesn't play it as much for laughs as Robin does, but it works.

Sweet!
Lin will be out all week. Anyone going?
^He'll be back by Sunday.
any chance Javier Munoz will go on for him? I've seen Shaun in the role, would like to see Javier give it a shot.
Yeah Javier is going on.
all week? (how can you be sure?)

I'm so lucky I saw the show this weekend. It was my first time seeing it. I don't think it would have been as powerful without Lin-Manuel. I won the lotto, and the seats were so good! I really love this show now - I'm sharing it with everyone I know.

This is random, like most of my posts are, but I thought people might enjoy it here (I had posted it in the Heights forum originally)...Just a bit of fun:

Nice!
I just got a job with the merchandise company that does ITH, so I was there all weekend. You may have seen me if you were there Friday or Saturday.
I'll be there a few times next week as well, so I'm excited to see Javier if he is indeed going on.
Per Lin himself, Javier is going on but I don't know if they are splitting up the week between Shaun and Javier.
Is he going to be out Sautrday as well? A friend of mine wanted to go to see Eliseo as Kevin, but I know she won't go if Lin's out.

So I have a question about seating in the theater. I'm officially going to be up in NYC from Jan 3rd to the 6th and am going to see the 8PM show on the 3rd. As of right now, ticketmaster lists the best center stage seating at Row F on the Front Mezannine but when I just leave it at Best Available it lists the Row B in the orchestra at seats 5-7.
My main question is, with Front Mezannine and Orchestra being at the same price level, at what point is right/left of center too far too get the best experience. My thought is the closer the better if I'm gonna pay the same price, but I don't want my sight to be limited either.
I personally believe that Front Mezz is the best place to get seats for. Best way to take in the lighting, and dancing. Then again, in the 4 times I've seen Heights, I've always sat Mezz.
See if you can get second row mezz on the right or left aisle. Those are my personal favorite seats.
Enjoy the show.

Eliseo is great as Kevin. Listening to the cast recording, I actually prefer Eliseo to the actor who normally plays Kevin.
I thought the u/s Sonny was very good, too. I disagree with the person who said that he doesn't play the role for laughs.
NityaC, I think you're on the ITH forum, cause I saw that video before so if you are Hey! But you should send that video to Lin's youtube account. He would probably appreciate that.
Apparently there's a new Kevin? His name is Rick Negron...

Uh, what?
They ax Carlos, don't bump up Eliseo...and how has nobody heard of this?
PiraguaGuy, someone on here reported a couple of weeks ago that Kevin was let go.
I missed that, oops.
I would love to hear reports from anyone who is at the Usnavi open call today.
Why was Carlos Gomez let go? Was it because of the health problems that continuously put him out of the show?
Ironically enough, this is the second time they've had to replace the actor playing Kevin (John Herrera originated the role Off-Broadway at 37 Arts and was not used for the Broadway production.)
Somethingwicked (and I'm just speculating here) - I have a feeling it had something to do with his vocal problems. I saw the show 3 times, the first time being in previews, and he always butchered his Act I song.
