Alright, I've gotta say--after reading her blog from Toxic Avenger from the first 2 weeks, I have fallen back in love with her. Well, I never stopped loving her (post-BKLYN), but reading that blog reinforced my love for her. She is such a sweet and gracious woman. I cannot wait to see her in Toxic Avenger!! :)
I've said this in other threads, and I'll probably say in more: someday, Diana DeGarmo will make a terrific Annie Oakley in Annie Get Your Gun.

Not only would she make a great Annie Oakley, I think she'd make a great Fanny Brice if and when a Funny Girl revival comes around. There are several roles I'd like to see her tackle over the next 10 years. I hope she sticks around the theater world so some of them come to fruition. She's a talented young woman who will probably just continue to get better. As a bonus, she certainly seems like a very nice person.

Sorry to ruin the love but I saw her in Toxic Avenger and she was dreadful. Good voice but awful actress. Black Guy was the best thing about that show, he could probably have played her role too and done it better! She also looks quite odd - whether that's because her face is weird or because of the costume is debatable...
Why would you post that in a love thread? Honestly, did you really have to come ruin the party?
Anyway, I LOVE her. (And I will also say she is a very lovely human being)
She's a standout in Toxic - a ray of sunshine. Her comedic timing is right on. She's got such positive stage presence - it's a joy to watch her!
I've never gotten to see her perform live, but I do like her. She really should have won American Idol over Fantasia.

I saw her in Toxic Avenger, and I was amazed. Her voice is out of this world, and her comedic acting was hilarious and spot-on. Her, Nancy Opel, and the two "dudes" MAKE the show. Diana is also amazing just in general...love her take on Penny!

Clearly Frapperia wasn't hugged enough as a child. Besides the fact that this is a love thread, some of that was just out and out mean.
I'm glad Diana has a love thread. She's deserved one for awhile. Beautiful girl. Amazing singer. One of the nicest performers I've met. LOVED her in Hairspray and Toxic Avenger. I just wish Godspell had become a reality. She and Gavin together would have been amazing.

Diana is wonderful. She was fantastic in Hairspray and amazing in BKLYN. I have to go see her in the Toxic Avenger soon, just need to find the time. Plus, she's a sweet, down to earth girl.

I love Diana too. I'll be in New York in December and plan to make Toxic Avenger one of my stops. I saw her in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. She was a fantastic narrator.
I thought the show was VERY cute and the cast is amazing and Diana fit right in. I can't imagine why anyone would think, much less SAY that Diana is dreadful in the show.
Get a life . . . or an enema, which ever is more pressing.
Diana is a powerhouse talent. I was blown away when I saw her in Bklyn. Her voice is very unique and quite beautiful. I was so sad that I missed her in Toxic by a week but I am going to go back just to see her (well her, and the fact that I loved the show). Toxic is lucky to have Diana.
For me, Diana LOVE began with the first song I hear her sing on AI ("I’ve Got The Music in Me"). I did not see Diana's first equity show, WSS, but I did get to hear her rendition of "Somewhere". Diana's soprano is absolutely amazing and from that moment on I knew there was nothing she could not sing. But with "Hairspray" and "The Toxic Avenger" I realized that she also had a flair for being a naturally gifted comedic actor. Diana also had terrific vocal performances in "Brooklyn", "Joseph", "Oz", "Back To Back to Bacharach and David" and at Carnegie Hall. Oh by the way, in addition to all this, Diana is a gifted country music singer/songwriter. I’m also rooting for Diana to play Fanny Brice in "Funny Girl" but I also love to see Diana in a revival of “A Star Is Born”. Next week Diana will be in "Liberty" where she will be representing The Statue of Liberty. I hope Diana will stay green for she would make an excellent Elphaba.
With this all being said, I agree with why Parks started this thread. By reading Diana’s blogs and tweets I also LOVE Diana for being a genuine good hearted person who is cordial to all her fans and an advocate of many causes.

I finally saw Toxic Avenger this weekend and loved Diana in the role. Yes there are spots where somebody like Sarah Chase will technically act the scene better, but all in all Diana's comedic timing and stage presence made for a fantastic experience.
And besides that, her graciousness at the stage door was noteworthy. What a nice young woman!

Time to revive this thread! According to Diana's Twitter messages, she's heading back to Broadway:
""I booked it! I will unveil the show once the deal is sealed YAAAAY!""
Chicago? In the Heights? Rock of Ages? A new show all together?

If it's a new show, then it will probably be Liberty: The Musical or Godspell.
