Just tried to buy a copy at Barnes & Noble on 5th. Sold out. Sold out at the Drama Book Shop also. Drama Book Shop said they have 5 on order. Barne's said they flew off the shelf when Olivia passed.

You can still get a digital copy from Amazon. Although unsurprising that Olivia Newton-John's death caused a rush on sales, from what I've read thus far, she's never mentioned in the book (the movie is only referenced a few times in passing).

But it's interesting that Jacobs loved her performance as Sandy and invited her to perform at an anniversary party for the show--the only member of the film cast who hadn't been in the stage production ever invited.

@joevitus: Yes, this book is solely focused on the stage show. There is minimal cross-referencing with the film version.

@uncageg: You can also order a hardcover copy via Amazon and if you have Amazon Prime have it delivered to your door the next day. 

If anyone is interested in getting a book that covers the making of the film, you cannot go wrong with Randal Kleiser's "Grease: The Director's Notebook"

I am loving every bit of this book. (Tell Me More, Tell Me More) Great story after great story.

Yes! And so many cast members who slept/had relationships with each other…including two married cast members who fell in love and wind up divorcing their respective spouses, married each other and are still together!

They go together, like rama lama lama ka dinga da dinga dong
