I'm very sad about this too. I was told it was going to stick around until at least June. Ah, well, it must be its time. But my question is, since the Times reports that not only Danza is leaving on March 11th, but so is Foster, who will close the show as Leo and Max? I'd love Foster to stay and John Treacy Egan to come back. That'd be a great way to close out the show!
Farewell Producers!
I have your cast recording to remember you by!
Why is Hunter leaving? Man. He was a rockin' Leo.
I cant say Ill miss it, I prefer the movie but I hope all the employees find new jobs soon after.
John Tracey will be busy with MERMAID.

It's sad that Producers is closing it's one of the funniest shows ive ever seen.So thats the London Production Closed and now Broadway but im not sad as we have it at the theatre i work at the moment(Manchester Palace Theatre UK).
Its the premier of the UK tour and officially opened last night(making ours the only major production of the show in the world).
We have it for 3 months with a great cast including UK mega comedian Peter Kay, John Gordon Sinclair and Corey English
This makes me very sad But maybe the Dynamic Duo will return to close it anyway?
I enjoyed the show with Broderick and Lane, but it was always more of an event than a great show. Seen it twice since, and for me, it hasn't held up well. I'll be glad to see something new there.

It's very sad to see one of my favorite shows go. The Producers is what got me into theatre and it's sad to see it go. All I can say is that THANK GOD Tony Danza won't be closing the show out. There is still a good chance that Nathan and Matthew will come back like...two weeks before the show closes.
Farwell to one fantastic show!

What's he doing in Mermaid?
I'm very split about The Producers closing. On the one side, I'm sad that one of my favorite shows is closing, but then again there's always the cast album, both movies, and the film soundtrack to remember it by. On the other side, I'm excited for Young Frankenstein in the fall.

I think the rumor is that he is playing chef Louie?
Unrelated, but I *so* want Brooks to cast Hunter in YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, in any role. He needs to originate again, he's immensely talented, he has kick-ass comic timing, he can sing, dance, and act. Cast him!

Went to ny to see him in Urinetown. He was great. Heard he was a great Leo. Is he worth the trip????
I'm just upset I'll never get to see Lane and Broderick.

Lane and Broderick will NOT be going back.
Expect former Bialystock and Blooms to finish out the show, according to Riedel.

How do you KNOW this for sure?
bway123, Hunter is absolutely worth a return trip. He is adorable as Leo.
Well, at least it's leaving at a good point. The majority of the people who have seen it will look back on the fond memories. Congrats on a fabulous run!
