Finally! They announced it! They should have let the show leave on a high note.

I guess the dynamic duo will not be returning
Will they keep the theater empty until YF?
I feel special reading an article dated Feb 23rd on the 22nd.

I do it all the time with the Sunday NY Times Art Section at work. We get it in on Saturdays and put it together Sunday morning. :)
Well, it had a good run, and was successful, no harm in closing after 6 years. That's a great run.

Sad to see it go, but with the grosses over the past few weeks/months make this is understandable. Looks like I'll be heading over to the box office tomorrow afternoon to see what's available.
Is this good news for a limited run of FOLLIES? I hope so!

I kind of hate The Producers for starting the $100 ticket trend, but in and of itself it's a good, fun show. And six years, as someone above said, is a nice healthy run. Better that than to just go on and on and on thanks to unthinking tourists. Goodbye, show.
It should have closed long ago. "The Producers" is one of the most overrated shows to ever hit Broadway.

Any news as yet on where YF will try out?

The first time I saw THE PRODUCERS I laughed more than I ever had at any show, ever. And then I saw AVENUE Q.
Farewell, PRODUCERS.
Yeah, so long Bialy. It was a nice run, wasn't it?
What about Follies?
Sad to see it go, but nothing lasts forever. Had some of the loudest and deepest laughs ever while watching this show. I know it had alot of detractors but I loved it. Too bad it closed before I could move to NY and use my Matthew Broderick like looks to land an understudy role for Leo.

I did love this show. Saw it thrice, once with the dynamic duo - though one of them proved to be not so dynamic.
And cheers to Angie Schworer who has essentially been the only (there was one other shortly after Huffman left) Ulla replacement for the show's entire run.
She was great in that part. I second that.
I can't honestly say I'm sorry to see it go.
^^ I can. I'm really upset...I thought it was going to stay open until summer. I was hoping to see it once more before it closed (I don't live in NYC).
