True, but she does that in the LB clips of her as Margot I've seen as well. And the beginning of her senior showcase.

It's just something that's always bothered me, personally, but it doesn't make the person a bad singer.

I just listened to "Good Boy!" A much better song than "Ireland". I think they should have kept this song in.

I agree with you that Kate Rockwell's belting was basically shouting, SG. There's something that's far too shrill about her voice, to my ears at least. I never, never understood the judges' fussing over how good her voice was.

Spork, you're the biggest Lauren fanatic on this board and you're always raving about her voice. She's got the hugest shouty squeaky belt I've ever heard. I don't find Kate's voice shouty at all. It's loud, but pleasant.

Kind of random but, was replacing all the cast on stage photos with one huge picture of Bailey and a story on her 'rise to fame' really necessary?
I'm not trying to be mean or anything I just think they went a bit over the top with it.

As for Lauren and Kate. Lauren is squeaky but I hear no shouting. Kate sounded shouty in that clip of her audition for Grease, but when I saw her in LB, she sounded fine.

Lauren's squeak is a stylistic thing that can be fixed pretty easily. And I've said that her belting needs work. I'd rather that she mixed instead of doing the total chest thing that she seems to do. What I do say is that she has a gorgeous voice, a nice high belt, and a lot of potential.

Kate would be good too if she would tone it down a little and mix more.

While I don't think they should have just wiped all the pictures of the cast and put up a big picture of Bailey, they might have done it because most of those pictures featured old cast members. I know Andy Karl was in a few of those pictures and they might have figured it was time to wipe the slate. Just to play devil's advocate...

That's just the one wall on the 'L' and 'B' side of the Legally Blonde doors, the stage photos on the other side of the doors- on the 'y' and 'e' sides- are all still there; not replaced. Or at least they were still there on Monday night when I walked by the Bailey Wall for the first time.

Aren't all pictures outside Broadway theaters of the original cast though? Such as Spamalot and Rent.

I think Hairspray has an older cast on the main doors. They replace the ones on the sides though I think.

SporkGoddess I totally agree about Kate. My brother and I called her "Loud Sandy". I haven't seen her in Legally Blonde, but man she drove me nuts on the Grease show.

I love how in the opening night pictures, Emma looks like she's posing for headshots or something.

does anyone know where I can find that picture of her on the side of the theatre, but the actual shot of it? Because I remember seeing it online at work and I took a picture of it on my phone, and now I can't find it! I picked up a flyer yesterday in the city and it has it on it with Bruiser attached to her arm too and I wanted it for Photoshopping
