Here's something to tide you over with until you are able to go back to the theatre again!!

The "The Shows Must Go On!" YouTube channel got me through some of the earliest days of the pandemic, with proshots of Lloyd Webber material being posted every week.
I can't wait to see this capture next Sunday. I'm not really as much of a sucker for West End theatre than I am for Broadway, but it's worth noting that 14 of the 18 shows set to perform either are or have been on B'way (two others - & Juliet and Everybody's Talking About Jamie - are set for North American premieres but do not have B'way plans... yet). This should be a fun watch; it's nice to see that this is live instead of prerecorded.

I had a great time watching this! The chorus of graduates was sweet. Not being super familiar with the current West End, which shows didn't perform?

Lots of excellent performances in this. It's amazing how many talented actors there are in the UK that I've never heard of.
Highlights for me were Alice Fearn in Come From Away, Trevor Dion Nicholas as King George in Hamilton, and Aisha Jawando as Tina Turner.

Amélie, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Cinderella all did not perform, as well as the upcoming Frozen, Moulin Rouge!, and Jersey Boys.
Also set for near-future West End bows are The Last Five Years, Be More Chill, Billionaire Boy, The Drifters Girl, Get Up, Stand Up!, Heathers, and Only Fools and Horses.

Very surprised there was nothing from “Cinderella”. I’ve been excited all week to see what they’d be performing today to get me excited for seeing it in a couple weeks!
But man, how great seeing people together onstage singing again. Just a really wonderful couple hours.

Only Fools and Horses was open preC.
This was basically West End Live but as fundraiser.
Highlights for me were Opening, Come from Away, Book of Mormon, Six, Mamma Mia, Hamilton and Tina. Loved her but not him in Phantom. Les Mis was good too but Im just not moved by it anymore.
Jamie, Matilda, Prince of Egypt and Wicked were disappointing.
Not sure &Juliet and Back To Future sold their shows.

Jordan Luke Gage is so damn great and I really loved him tonight. He’s the sole reason I’m going to see “Heathers” again, which I generally consider one of the worst musicals ever written. But for this, they should have had Miriam perform “Baby One More Time”, or have the two of them sing “One More Try” together.
