I'm sorry, I didn't see that show, what is the seemingly anti-semetic reference???
THAT is your favorite 3 seconds?
How sad that is...
Please, enlighten me...I don't get it!

"I'm a pretty girl Mamma!"- When Louise looks in that mirror, its magic.
The spotlight switching on to reveal Tracey Turnblad asleep in her bed on the loud chord played by the orchestra.
I've got to say it, However cliche- "It's meeeeeeeee!" (I get chills every time)
"Alright, Now let's do the whole combination, facing away from the mirrors, from the top, A - FIVE - SIX - SEVEN - EIGHT!" - (As the cast turns around to face DS and does that ever so famous combination) Chorus Line Opening always gets me amped!
The stairs in the revival of 42nd were STUNNING- Enough so that I applauded every time.

Posted: 7/20/05 at 4:21amWhen I saw RENT - a month after the Broadway opening - before the Tony Awards, before the cast started losing their voices, when they walked out on stage to start the second act - the audience gave them a STANDING OVATION - before the chords of "Seasons of Love" started!

I don't know wheather or not they did this on Broadway, but at the end of the Illinois All-State Ragtime, the cast picked up Little Coalhouse and carried him back to the bridge under where Coalhouse and Sarah were singing. Then of course, "... and he will ride - our son will ride - on the wheels of a dream!" I cryed more at that show overall than I have in most of my entire life, and nothing was more emotional than that.
And the signing reprise in Big River also deserves mention, without a doubt.

The first four notes in the overture from Gypsy make for the shortest, yet most chilling, moment I've ever experienced in a theatre.
As for something more universal: whenever the house lights dim, and the audience suddenly gets quiet(er), and the first note played by the orchestra in the overture (if there is an overture). Then later, when the curtain finally rises, for the first time. *Sigh* There is no possible way to describe the feeling you get at those moments.

Did no one see Ellen McLoughlin descend from the flies as the Angel at the end of MILLENIUM APPROACHES?
Cause that's it for me.

Allthough I never saw it, I agree with whomever said "when Euan Mortan sings 'on a clear day I can see myself for miles'"
I'm obsessed with that part. The first time I heard it on the cd I got major chills :) that song makes me sad ....
