Totally aDOY, you guys. Have you not read a word I have written? Britney's background is IN musical theater. Please follow the link below and scroll down to understudy, si vous please.
(You can even notice the name of the replacement understudy who would really make an excellent Elphlaba someday, bringing fans of PrincessMimidala from the Star Wars second trilogy that's really the first trilogy but came out second to the theater and creating a whole new generation of theater fans, AGAIN. I can't believe I have to do all the work.)
Read it and weep, bitches

She calls Wicked a play not once, not twice, but thrice...

"It was the most amazing play. It was real life-changing for me," says Spears.

Britney: Yes, and instead of my mom doing it weekly, I will do it weekly. It really states where I am at in my life right now. It is making closure with a lot of things and I think this is my ultimate truth. I owe it to my fans, they need to read it. It will explain any questions they have ever had, it will explain everything. I was hesitant at first. I saw a play in NY called 'Wicked' - it really inspired me to write it. It was the most amazing play. It was life changing for me.

Posted: 10/5/04 at 3:42pmSo she called it a play - what's wrong with that? Now calling a play a musical would be weird, but I believe any piece of theater with a script can be correctly called a play. I swear, you people won't be happy until Satan himself rises up from the bowels of hell and snatches her back with him, the entire scene preferably captured for Entertainment Tonight's cameras.

Posted: 10/5/04 at 3:46pmI have nothing against Britney Spears as a performer. I actually think she was a God Sent for Saturday Night Live. The girl can act, but the role of Glinda, in my opinion, would be a bad choice. Someone like Megan Mullally would be better suited vocally (and the acting would be through the roof).

Megan is approximately 187 years old, don't get me wrong, loved her in the Rosie McDonald Grease! which was the one with the exclamation point not the one without the exclamation point but with Brad from Rocky Horror Picture Show before he was on Spin City or the movie with the Sweat Hog.
But now that somebody mentioned Satan, I think he would be a really good choice to play the Wizard.

Namo I believe she's taken to rounding that number down to a sexier 150. so with a good exfoliant and a theatre with a massive house, she could still pass for a teenager or college-aged person.
the important thing here is that, love or hate Wicked, we now can agree that the production has not been in vain. It was able to touch and enrich the life of a poor, victimized, unloved billionaire pop icon. there is no greater service to humanity.

Posted: 10/5/04 at 6:32pmI knew there was a reason I've always been very cold on the show. Look who thinks it's life altering. Good Grief.

"Spears has worked so hard on her letter that she says, "I feel like I'm at Harvard."
Ha. Ha. HAHAHAHAHA! What, has the hardest that she has worked was when she tried to match her mouth to the words in her prerecorded music?
EDIT: Maybe you should too. They are very picky with grammar errors, though, so watch out:
Maybe and "you're" should be "your".

Posted: 10/5/04 at 6:43pmmaybe you should check out Harvard. The last sentence of you're post makes no sense.

Now Namo are you Wickans realated to Wickens at all?
Secondly, I cannot believe they did not put "voice" under reasons why Kristin could be annoying.
Finally, can we just take a second and have an honest vote of how many people actually believe this? seriously, I would really like to know.
