now granted I havent seen her live, but based on what ive seen / heard interms of clips and the bway.com vid. I was realy not blown away. she seems like a sweetheart and has a great voice. I just dont think it works as Elphie. and I dont get how she is trying to be like a hip hop singer her voice seems so clasical.

She also has a very hip hop/r&b sound too. If you listen to the clips on her website, you can tell.

I felt the same way you did. The recordings don't do Shoshana justice. She's absolutely AMAZING.

And she has a versatile voice. That's how she can do broadway and hip-hop.

I think the best recording to listen to to hear what Shoshana can really do is "Oh Bless the Lord My Soul" from Godspell. It is UNBELIEVABLE.

I just saw the "Wicked" backstage video on Broadway.com...Shosh is so cute! I defintely have a little crush on her...
